BTW as an animator i worked on a game before but they never give you the headaches Above, You just do what you do best and they only give you a limit of faces and tell u if the Mesh should be triangulated or Not.

That's why i never enjoyed making that game much, I like to make Super-realistic Super Heavy Models and render them in the most expensive and sophisticated renderer i can find ;)

mr people and renderman people are on two opposing fronts. I think Both are amazing But i probably won't bother myself with learning RenderMan because i am already super deep into mentalray, I am actuctually in the middle of reading my second book about mr by Boaz Livni A very good Book It Is.

Remind me, Why are we into politics again ???

haha, u underestimate matters.

i googled 2 games and the rest i already knew.

plus, googling based on a small decrepit image yields nothing if u dont know a lot about game genras and their history to pinpoint and verify the result..

u make it sound like plagiarism while it's actually research.
plus, i'm not the one posting cryptic none famous games, all my screenshots are from famous games cuz i want u guys to have a good chance at figuring them out.

but when someone posts a pic if an old non-hit game that he himself barely recognises now that's a form of cheating the system statistically.
do u want me to post screenshots from 8-bit atari computer systems and amiga? cuz i know a few that u will probably never know unless u are a geek like me. with or without google i have no problem, i'll still know most of the pc games anyone cant post here that were slighlty famous and above it hehe

i have no problem guys, i didnt give up, u guys did. what can i do if i happen to know most games posted here. if u want i will not google anything i dont immediatly recognise, u all go ahead and do that or just dont do that, we'll see how much my chances change then, and by all means plz guys post screenshots of failed unknown games so that u can make us all drown in our own ignorance hehe

The thread is called GUESS the screenshot, not SPEND 30 MINUTES RESEARCHING FOR CLUES TO FIND NAME OF SAID GAME . If someone didnt play a game in his life, and knew how to use google correcly he would have a pretty good chance of finding the game. I see to each his own, why make posting screenies of ur favorite games that happen to be unpopular a bad thing. You can post really old game screenshots, but personnaly i dont think i would guess 95% of em, because we didnt have enough money to buy much games. So my childhood was stuck with practically c&c, star wars rebel assault, captain majed, duck hunter, contra and whichever game i could steal .

You can post whichever game you like, im always happy to know about games i didnt know of before.

I didnt give up, actually i kind lost fruit of posting screenies if everyone googled the answer.



Btw i have a couple of crappy After Effects animations if you guys would like to see.

friendofzeus, u are making a big drama out of the google thing hehe, it's a drama out of nothing :)
plus u are abusing my honesty in this regard, if googling is such a bad thing who is to say u and others are not googling too but failing at it?

now i made my statement before clearly, u made urs, up for everybody else to decide which one is more valid.

i see no point in posting screens of irrelevant obscure games, and researching an obscure game u don't know the name of ain't as easy as 1 2 3 when u have to use text to google for it based on ur our collection of heuristic genra related keywords.

so i ask u again to plz cut down on the drama.
u make it sound as if i google all the answers & by a simple presto click, that is so far from reality i don't wanna bother to justify no more.
credit should be given where credit is due, not whining hehe

next u r gonna tell me that i am cheating cause i constantly read game reviews since like from 15 years now and that that constitutes a breach of the "guess the screenshot" explicit "YOU NEED TO PLAY THE GAME" hidden (but now revealed) policy
is it ok if i played the demo or shareware version of the game by accident or should i have played the final official game and finished it b4 i can qualify to post a 'valid' answer ? hehe. do remember man, not everybody takes games at face value, for someone like me that has played a lot of games but read even more reviews, the idea of not 'thinking about what game X could be but just "guess it" if u happened to have "played it directly" ' is quite offensive.

& even if u are 100% right with ur position man, don't u think ur ad-lib rules are detrimental to keeping this thread alive?
live and let live my brother, this is the first time someone on an online forum asks others not to look for online clues for games that they don't remember directly and makes a big fuss of it. this was supposed to be fun, not "fail to guess my personal games that nobodies knows about" ;P

ps, i'm sorry u didn't get to play lots of games as a kid but i don't see how that fact is supposed to put a burden of conscience on my own shoulders in this regard
