Why is it that complicated to create a CD for use in a built in car navigator?
I have a Garmin 205w, I'm using it and it is great, I called Navleb to ask if they have the map CD for car navigators, they said that it is not out yet and that they are working on it, until then, it is feasible by adding a piece of hardware that costs around 700 dollars.
I have a feeling that they are delaying the release of this CD to sell as much as they can of that hardware.

Does the software used with Europe maps work with the Lebanese map also?
I have a 255WT and I need to know how to install a Lebanese map,
and how do we specify the desired destination since in Lebanon there are no zip codes and we don't use street numbers...

Thank you
I'm using navleb in Lebanon and it looks great.
If the destination is a well known restaurant, hospital, shop, company, then you have no problem, you just search the name of this restaurant, and navleb gives you a list of all of its branches in lebanon, you click on the one you want.
In case if you want to go to a regular address, you need to look for a point of interest that is close to the address you want.

Did you recently call the company or any retailer? Because I've heard from someone that maps for for car navigators were released. I will call Multimedia Megastore to check with them.

my friend called navleb recently and they game him the same answer that tae got.
they hardware they are selling is nothing but a garmin device. so basically everything revolves around garmin, which works on WinMo and Symbian S60v3 and S60v5.
(TomTom + Route66 + Nokia Maps + Google Maps + the others) * Lebanon = 0

Have you tried to navigate with those maps, i mean actually using them on the roads not only downloading them to the device. if yes which one works best?
