GPS in Lebanon

I am in France now and i wanna buy a GPS receiver,
Can you tell me if it will work?
And what about the Lebanese maps...?

I can buy a Garmin 200 for 130 dollars, Garmin 660FM for 300 dollars

there's a company called navleb
it sells a gps receiver and a map of lebanon
the device is about 300 or 400$ and the map is 150$
it's a lebanon map with 60 000 points in it , by points i mean like checkpoints , ye3neh you can choose any point of these 60 000 points located on the map and you will be able to reach them and the gps transmitter will guide you
a friend of mine designed a vb.net program for the company that shows you the nearest path to reach a certain point ............ so the company gave him a gps receiver and some money in return

speaking of GPS.... just yesterday i figured out that i could know i am by simply using my phone the problem is just that i need an internet connection to download Maps from the internet to my phone... if i can do that.. then i can simple use my phone as a navigator

Does the software used with Europe maps work with the Lebanese map also?
I have a 255WT and I need to know how to install a Lebanese map,
and how do we specify the desired destination since in Lebanon there are no zip codes and we don't use street numbers...

i managed to install GPS on S60v3 and S60v5 nokia phones :D
i'm navigating from my nokia 5800 XM and i can tell you that it's amazing :D
of course i'm using Garmin Mobile XT with a lebanese map.

Well usually forums are made to help each others,
and I didn't see but people saying, I am using a lebanese map,... it worked on nokia, it worked on garmin ......
