Hi Danny, I bought the cheapest one, Garmin 205w, it costs in Lebanon 495 USD, maps and VAT included.
The difference between this one and the 700 USD one is an integrated MP3 player/FM transmitter and bluetooth.
I don't need these 2 features because I'm willing to buy a CLK 320, It is supposed to have bluetooth, as for the MP3 player, I prefer to have it as a separate hardware especially that the sound quality that you get with a FM transmitter is suboptimal.
You're right, it costs much less in the states, but, if you buy it for 200 dollars from there you will have to buy the NAVLEB maps for 200 dollars .. add VAT to it, and the whole thing will cost 500 dollars so it's the same.

I wonder if there is a way to send a location via email to a friend. Lets say for example, you save a spot in your garmin, and you want to send this location to a friend by email ..
It could be done by using the "where am i" feature, you use it to get the coordinates, and send the coordinates by email .. but there must be a better way to do this

Does anyone know how to create new POIs in Garmin?
Could it be done by creating a POI on a PC and transfer it to Garmin?

You can add yours in the favorite folder, but how can you add them as new POIs?

How accurate it is?
I've seen the device and it's really amazing, touch screen, very nice display, bluetooth reception and fm transmitter, so it's a hands free for mobile phones....
You can try it here .. https://www.navleb.com/webmaps.aspx

The one that I have 205w doesn't say the street names, you don't need them by the way, because you don't know any of them.
But it displays their names on top of the screen.

You only need a system that tells you go right, turn left, make a u-turn etc ..

You can type any street name you want and ask it to take you there, the problem in Lebanon is that We don't know these name, I was surprised to know that the zaroob near my house has a name.

It would have been great if the data file (maps) could be edited by the user.. this would permit adding details, doing corrections etc..

With TomTom you can use a module called MapShare to add point of interest and share them with every one through the internet !!!
