Default GPS on Cell Phones - 26th February 2009

I just want to ask the experts here if the GPS on Cell Phones are working fine in Lebanon, or is there any drawbacks?
M counting to buy a Samsung Omnia. Is it a good choice for a good combination? And does anybody know antg about the prices of both?

Thanks.

that is the easiest question on earth, no mobile device can match the very newly released Garmin-Asus device. it comes with garmin pre installed on WinMo OS, all you have to do is install a lebanese map.
also, the Navigator series of Nokia (like the 6110) have a strong A-GPS unit that can lock fast to satellites. the New N97 will feature the same unit, so it will be excellent for navigation.
as for the others, kellou metel ba3dou:P with a little difference.

just open nokia maps, go to an empty space, and relax, wait for like 10 min and keep checking the satellite status (u should open a gps application of course) once you lock to 3 (2D gps) or 4 or 5 (3D gps) satellites then you are done:W
the first time may take longer than usual, but then, 1 sec, 2 min, 5 min, depending on the phone's gps unit quality:W

Hey all, after doing my researches, I think that bying an abou 200 $ phone is the best thing I do. Just one more question, what about the latest Iphone 3G? I heard that the GPS is working fine and fast. And talking about sexy phones, I think the Iphone is the sexiest. Anyone heard or read any reviews about it?
