You can always acquiant yourself with some skills being in 2d/3d modeling, Level Creation, story writing...etc

imo they all add up to form a successful game. But yes the idea and how the game plays are critical aspects. There is this 10-minute magic number I keep on hearing devs talk about. At first you have to practice your skills and get used to games that you know. Clearly you won't be making magic on your first shot.

So guys have we agreed on any game? Since we have lots of resources on making a game whether being programming or design and also we have manpower so we still need an idea. I say tanks!! who agrees and who disagrees and state why .:) + state your proposition :d

before we get this thing off the ground [IF we get it off the ground] we need to decide 2 things:
  1. are we modding an existing game first? [i totally recommend, because none of us here have experience at making anything at all] or making one from scratch?
  2. what gametype? RTS? FPS? puzzle? platform? space sim?

*i have a feeling those two will be relatively easy to decide on compared to deciding on the theme of the game since we are not familiar with each other and being lebanese are most likely going to take knifes to each other's throats.

*it will slim down are wild dreamy options.

ive said it before, and i say it again, not out of experience but i've read around and found this recommendation logical: modding will bring vital experience in terms of learngin to work with each other and figuring out the best model organization between ourselves.
