Favorite old games

What are your favorite old games? whether computer or console games, let's have them listed here for good memories.

Was talking to a few friends today and we were remembering the old Basketball game on NES featuring Jordan vs. Larry Bird.

The game is Double Dribble, was quite an advanced game for its era.

I was also once addicted to a car racing game by the name of micro machines. Great game, I still play it today even.

So old folk, what old games do you recall?

I love super mario!! i found a Windows version of it, it is very very addictive!! with some nice graphics... something to suit windows you know...

PM if you want it... pretty small file.... 40MB i guess

Street Fighter II (especially the arcade version) dominates them all.

Micro Machines, Supaplex, Stunts, Commander Keen, Wolfenstein, Nascar Racing, Desert Strike, Prince of Persia, F16, Winter Olympics.

Those early 90s games are CLASSICS, and they still rule, I still enjoy playing some of them, even if the new games are all high tech.

Ok my very favorite ones are:

Megaman (series)



Double Dragon - If you've never laughed at the "Bimmy" typo, you've never played it.




God of Thunder - cool and funny adventure game with some nice puzzles.



Street Fighter (series) - Better than Mortal Kombat imo.



The legend of Zelda - you should all know it.


Lemmings - very addictive.

You should check out MArio Kart on Nintendo DS. It's new and improved and as addictive and it also has a retro version which includes the best tracks of the previous releases.
