In console wars, it's not the machine that makes the games, it's the games that make the machine. In other words, a console with strong hardware specs and poor software will flop. On the other hand, a console with a mediocre processor and graphics card, but with good games, is most likely to kill'em'all.
Ps2 has a wide array of must-have exclusives not available on any other platform. As far as i'm concerned, as long as sony still hold a monopoly over the God of War, Final Fantasy, Xenosaga, Shin Megami Tensei, Metal Gear Solid, Tekken, among many other franchises, im sticking with it.
Heck, i still play super-nintendo's Chrono Trigger till now ! PC minded gamers will never understand that videogames aren't about graphics only =)
Mahyar, if you're interested in japo stuff, i suggest you start with Yakuza ( one of the best storylines seen in an action game, it pisses on everything GTA came with so far - plot wise and character wise - ) and the phenomenal Okami.
