Well, what is the difference btw very small laptops and big laptops... other than their size and weight... do they have different specifications?
Usually small laptops the one that have 12 inch screen are expensive, and large laptop that have 17 inch screen or larger are somewhat expensive. The cheapest would be the moderate size laptop

And no specifications has noting to do with the size of laptop. A small laptop may have better specification than large laptop and vice versa.

Does the brand differ a lot if 2 computers have the same specifications but with different brand (toshoba, vaio, hp, acer...) which one do u recommend.?

Yes, for example some laptops have a built-in camera with it. For example, HP usually have built-in camera but dell laptops don't have built-in camera. There are also other things may vary between different brands.

In my opinion, HP is the best brand.

As i have noticed in my research, each laptop has a code... if i take this code and tell my friend from dubai (for instance) to buy this laptop with that code... will it have the same specifications as stated under that code? can i trust pc shops on that?
What do you mean by the "code name" ?

My sister has a laptop called "HP Pavilion DV6291EA", is this the code name ?

If you search by google for Pavilion DV6291EA you would find that all of them have the same exact specification.

My advice is to be careful what kind of screen the laptop has. I purchased a HP DV6000 and I can not use it outside because of its shiney and reflective screen, I just can not see the screen at all during day light. Kind of stupid to have a laptop you can not use outside.

The laptops with the matt finish screen do not look as good in my opnion but they give you the freedom to use it wherever you like.

So what I have understood from all this is that if I buy HP DV 6281 here in Lebanon or in Dubai, both will have the same specification. I am thinking in telling my friend from Dubai to bring me a laptop with that code, however he understands nothing about laptops and computers... is there a probability that the shop owner can fool my friend, even if the same code is written on the laptop?
Does any of you know the difference in prices between Lebanon and Dubai, concerning HP or Toshiba laptops...
THANKS A LOT AGAIN.

My advice is: think of what you're gonna use it for, how much are you willing to pay; and DO NOT buy Dell or Sony (that's for laptops).

HP is known to be one of the best laptops. Their laptops are inexpensive, reliable, it has light-touch buttons to turn the volume up, down... etc
