As is typical with any new technology, the first batch is usually plagued with hiccups. I'm wondering if this is the case with Blu-Ray players. And if so, how long should we wait until we buy one? |
Well actually you can buy one right now.
the difference with the DVDs is that there's regular software update since most of the players are connectible machines.
The best player around is definitely the PS3 (I know you'll hate me for saying that :) ).
But it's true.. actually the player is heavy duty since it's also used for games; so he's supposed to handle the average nb of gaming hours of the japanese people which is quite high... lol..
I already bought 3 BR that I watch on my PS3: Last Samurai, Memoir of a Geisha and Deep Blue.
All 3 have the most amazing picture I have ever seen... it's a real pleasure.
another advantage of a BR Player, is that it can upgrade the quality of your DVDs (Upscaling Feature) as well ;)
