GPU: Now the 4870X2 is strong.. but if you something Top Notch i'd suggest you wait till the Nvidia GTX 295 Card is released.. now imagine if one of that can beat the 4870X2, imagine what 4 GTX295 Cards in Quad-Sli Mode can do (that is if money is not a Problem)

Hard Drive:
don't know what Raid in HDs is.. but whatever is better i guess :P

that's all i can say for now..
HD RAID is a setup of many HDs running as one, for extra speed and/or extra redundancy. there are many way u can set up RAIDs.

or are u talking about a laptop? perhaps a laptop is even too expensive with these specs and such a price tag.

applications can't use all the 4gb if u have them. vista 32bit has the same global limit of 4gb, but i don't know if it splits it 3gb/1gb too.

with 64 bit windows xp/vista, the 4gb global limit doesn't exist altogether.
so if I get a 64 bit os then I can shove as much ram as I want?

I'd rather go for a big laptop...Please don't tell me that the topic is restricted to PCs

asus G71V

Intel® Quad Core Processor QX9300 :2.53GHz with 12MB On-Die L2 Cache;

4GB SDRAM DDR3 1333 MHz

17" WUXGA, High Brightness (Dual Lamp), Color-Shine (Glare-type)

NVIDIA® GeForce® 9700M GT External 512MB GDDR3 VRAM

Or,

alienware Area-51 m17x

Processor 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000
Memory 4GB, 667MHz DDR2
Hard drive 1TB 5,400rpm (500GB x2)
Chipset Intel PM965
Graphics Nvidia GeForce 9800M GT (x2)

And....Since money is not an issue...hehe...I would buy 4 of these in order to form a team at anytime,anywhere...In no time...hehe

Better have it online from a trusted source.

In Lebanon,i rarely saw any brand selling the latest product...at least before it becomes outdated elsewhere.

I just made an online order for an Asus eeepc S101 netbook...Because in Lebanon, they're just still at discovering the eeepc 701 and 900 series...

hehe...The best laugh i get is when i wander around, asking salesmen about specs and features...Seing their faces filled with honest exclamation marks and admiration while presenting to me some dull outdated stuff....then not realizing before few minutes that they were being given a lecture about the stuff they are handling...And asking me questions about them!
