Default 10 minutes global lebanese internet blackout - 3 Weeks Ago

I notice blackout few minutes ago, and ALL providers was down (GPRS for sure too). Also my monitoring system notice shorter outages today.
17:55 - 18:07 is exact timing of outage.
Did anybody notice that?

I am sorry nuclearcat but I have been online since like 40 hours still no outage. I think Ogero was not affected. Still we need another confirmation

IA64 - many didn't notice that, most probably.
I am sure Terranet, Fiberlinks and Sodetel was down. I try also GPRS - it was dead.
But i heard also that Ogero DSL didn't go down, but i dont think anybody monitoring it.
It would be very interesting, why only private ISP's suffered.

Well if you take a look at my ping statistics, its been like 2 days pinging the same host and only 9 packets lost so I think that should support what Ive said, Ogero only missed that.

Well I have bought a new router WAG320N and I was testing the stability of the connection using dual band ( N mode ) as I also bought a UPS with surge protection ( I heard the Winter a storm is coming soon and the winter this year will be tough ) so enjoying the so called 24/7 internet connection Ah and of course I get the lowest latency pinging bbc ~ 100ms and 120ms google..

Nothing illegal eh ??

IA64, then it is confirmed, they dropped all private ISP connection for 10 minutes, and their own DSL customers stayed. Nice... Fair government competition.
If someone had SLA customers - he lost them.
As Ogero explains - they lost iBGP session, but i don't believe in that. It means they don't have any redundancy

Yeah but why would they do that for only 10 mins? Why would they drop all other ISPs ?
