I recently watched Namesake, it is about an Indian American family, the parents moved from India and had their children in New York, it deals with identity a lot, it is a really good movie, it is based on a book.

The main star is the Indian guy from Harold and Kumar movie, he played a silly pothead in that movie but he did a great job playing this serious role of an Indian American seeking his identity. I highly recommend it.
