The most bitter movie I've ever watched, it's also one of my favorites. Not recommended if you're easily shocked or upset. If you only like movies that take you to a happy place, stay far away from this one. The last 20 minutes of this movie will make your jaws drop and leave you breathless. A must-see.

The music is one of the best! The main theme is a classic. I got the soundtrack and the Blu-ray version (for 10$ from Amazon).

Believe me, you won't be disappointed! (Try to get the director's cut unrated version).

Here's the official trailer:

And here's another unofficial trailer:

(Make sure to lower the volume with this one)

Was just thinking to rewatch this movie, but am hesitant, because I remember I almost felt sick while watching it in the cinema. It is quite strong.

Michael Clayton: very interesting once u grasp what's going on in the movie, and George Clooney's performance is impressive. 7/10

Totally agree. I was half-way in the movie (if not more towards the end) before I understood what the *bleep* was going on!

I was afraid it was going to be another The way of war (1/10) with Cuba Gooding Jr., which I had watched a couple of days earlier.

But finally I really enjoyed it, so Michael Clayton deserves a 7/10!

I also recently watched the two Batman movies:
Batman begins (9/10)
The Dark Night (8/10)

Most people prefer TDN, but I actually enjoyed the first one more!

What else, what else.....

Oh yeah, Burn after reading is really awesome! Very distinct humor by the Coen brothers, and great acting by all the cast (Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Frances McDorman, Tilda Swinton and John Malkovich). Definitely a 8/10!

Also other random movies I recently watched:

- Little miss sunshine, very special, 7/10

- Max Payne, fun to watch, but nothing special 6/10

- Les Misérables (French mini-series version with Gérard Depardieu and John Malkovich), very bad acting, 4/10! (The American version with Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush was much better, though a bit liberal with its accuracy, but it deserves a 7/10).

- The Graduate, very funny and cute movie, 7/10

- Vicky Christina Barcelona, funny and sexy, but hard to understand the point of the movie at the end, 6/10

- Intermission, great movie to be compared to others in its style (Trainspotting 9/10, Lock, stock and two smoking barrels 8/10, Snatch 7/10, etc.), but much lighter and for a larger public, 7/10

- Syriana, watched it twice, and while I did get it after the second time, I still didn't get the ending (hint: Clooney's pseudo-heroic act). I probably will after the third time I'll watch it, and while I did very much like it, I'm disappointed about its complexity (I just think they overdo it a bit, 7/10

- Slumdog millionaire, a must see movie, 9/10

- Taxi driver, old, slow, no real point to it, but definitely worth watching if you like good acting (Robert DeNiro) and good scenarios, 6/10

- The two bond movies Casino Royal 8/10 and Quantum of Solace are really worth the shot!

- Les Femmes de l'Ombre, true story about French women combatants sent on a mission in Nazi-occupied France, a must see! 8/10

- W., fictitious (?) movie about the life of George W. Bush, his relationship with his father, and his Christian "rebirth". A must see, 7/10

SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT

That's Foster's first movie, it kind of reminds of Leon or the professional where Nathalie Portman has her first and was as young as Foster in Taxi driver, also both have a good actor and both actors defend the younger actress and end up paying for it personally.

Twelve Angry Men (I would have never thought that a movie entirely focused on the acting and driven by it would enshrine me that much in its events, in its planing, the way some scenes seem to drag out without cutting out, the way the intimate focus on detail is never broken by the acting but sustained by it. It was a spectacular performance of raw acting)

Spirited Away (Simply breathtaking, another of Miyazaki's Masterpieces)

Not really that there's no real point, but both Taxi driver and Raging Bull (also Robert DeNiro, 7/10) are both long movies that are entirely focused on the life of one man, their personality struggles... There's no morality in these movies, and they're not epics either, nor do they reflect societal issues, and the action scenes are not that awesome...

These movies are great simply because the acting and the scenarios are very well written and filmed!

Very few people I know actually enjoyed the movie, and hence I only advise it to people who like these kind of movies!

I agree here.
Nice black comedy. Unusual role by Bradd Pitt, definitely no less than 7/10.

I really love this movie, but it's not made for everyone! It's really special and very few people really appreciate it (because it is very slow, etc.).

It's not really unusual. I mean if you watched for instance Twelve Monkeys or Kalifornia , you would know Brad Pitt would take such roles.
