I was OBLIGED 3 days ago to watch the silliest movie that was ever made!

Monster House??? It is an animated movie but unlike all other animated movies that I had the chance to watch and they were many... This movie is the worst ever!

I will be watching Break Up tomorrow... It must be good! 7atta if not... Jen Aniston will make the difference ;)

Just watched "The Departed", it was a good movie, but not cutting edge like I thought it would be though...

Thumbs up Movie: The Departed - 28th October 2006

Yesterday I watched what was certainly one of the best movies I have seen in a long time and possibly one of the best movies I've seen ever.

The Departed is a Martin Scorcese movie and includes a long list of big actors.
You will spend the first 10 minutes [and 10 minutes is a long time in film] saying "HE's in this movie?" over and over again. Leonardo Di Caprio, Mark Wahlburg, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin are all in this among other recognizable faces.

Its an extremely well done narrative starting with 2 parallel story lines merging slowly into one.

Boston, its characters, and atmosphere are recreated well as it is as much a character as the rest of the actors.

As for the story and story telling itself...just incredible. I have never had a treat like this before.

The intelligence of the plot...strategies..and counter strategies....is presented in such a way as that it is edited at just the right speed so that you can still understand the fast paced "chess game" that is occuring.

Its the story of two kids growing up in Boston and both training to become cops. Each however has a different intention, which are hinted at throught the growing up sequences but not more than that.

You are taken off track...derailed....flipped into thinking the intentions are opposite...and then back again...

When your finally off that ride knowing where each stands...your back on another wondering who wil lend up on top as each out smarts the other along with their acquantances back and forth.

Any more detail and I'll spoil it for you. Go watch it. Its more than worth it.

WOW! You got me all intrigued!!!!!
Besides this being a movie I NOW would love to watch, I cannot help think: "Is O'Patriot a movie critic?"
WHAT A GREAT REVIEW!!!!!! You should pick this professionally if it is not your profession yet!!!!!

Back to topic, I think that the cast is awesome! Who wrote the script and the screenplay by the way? I like Martin Scorcese, and he seems to be a big fan of his number one actor: Leonardo Di Caprio! Niiiice indeed!

I watched it, and I want to watch it again. This movie is nothing short of brilliant. It's based on a highly critically acclaimed Hong Kong movie that came out in 2001 or something. Makes you wonder if Hollywood is losing its originality. But thank God they chose this to remake, it's simply awesome.

Agreed. Very nice movie.
For the first time Di Caprio acts manly. I was really impressed with his performance. Abir is gonna jump me over now :)
Matt Damon is excellent as usual.
For Jack Nicholson, I don't deserve to rate him :)
