Just a fast action flick, with no real thoughtful plot or reflective events or mature dialogues. The kind of movies you might watch if you're really lazy and can't bother to follow unfolding events closely.

I think the Saw series are mostly **** not because they're "weird" but because they're **** as I said just made for shock value. There are tons of movies that should be labeled "****" that do not belong to the horror genre or the "weird" genre.

Seven pounds:

liked it a lot, it's a drama starring Will Smith.....it's one of those movies where u have to be patient and attentive till the last 10-15 minutes in order to appreciate it and fully understand what's happening.....very touching movie specially the last scenes, i found them quite intense.....
for all the guys out there: it's a great one to watch with ur girlfriends

the Crew (2008) (there's another one with the same title but made in 2000):

it's an OK movie, fun to watch, it's a British Gangster movie a bit unusual.....u can say it's different enough to be worth watching........
it has some kind of a weird atmosphere......before watching it, i read a review about it which said:"Humorous and brutal, touching and chilling" which is so true .....
it's one of those movies where the good guy is actually bad, u'll know what i mean once u watch it..... it has some humor and some funny situations....., Sad and touching scenes,Brutal and violent scenes, weird and sick scenes...., ummmmm in short it shows u a totally twisted world........
i think it could have been done in a better way but again i think it is worth watching...
Finally one piece of advice: the movie is totally British, i mean the accent and the slangs..... most people are not used to this so they will find it challenging to understand without subtitles.....so u guys should wait until it is available on a legal DVD abroad so we can make illegal copies in Lebanon with subtitles.....i watched a copy made by recording the movie in a cinema.......and for God's sake use english subtitles not arabic as u will not enjoy the script with arabic subtitles since in many instances the script will lose its meaning if translated.

Thick as Thieves (2009):

Saw it last week, starring Morgan Freeman and Antonio Banderas, it's basically about a top notch or master thief (Freeman) recruiting another young thief (Banderas) to help him steal something from the russian mob.....but there is more to this plot than meets the eye...... the movie has a couple of very nice unexpected twists.....i will not into details in order not to spoil anything.....but i liked it.....watch it, i think most of u will enjoy it..........of course it is not one of those memorable movies, the kind that deserves to be in the Cinema Hall of fame, but i guess it deserves to be on the top side of the regular movie scale..... Again i recommend it for a regular chilling evening.......
