Biohazard yes I notice that trance is usualy associated to Tiesto and Van Dyk...and this is a lack of musical knowledge....
but about the DJs you mentionned:
Warp Brothers <---- very well known, they had a hit back in 2001 that kicked a$$, but they're not really appreciated coz (in my opinion) their music is cheesy...and add to this that they do Hard House not Trance

Voodoo And Serano<----also very well known, not necessarly here...

CJ Stone<-----One of the best trance arrangers in the world, and also very well known

Gigi D'Agostino<----pure euro dance, and more of house music, but not trance at all, not even close...

Kai Tracid<----excellent trance headz !

Public Domain <----House music and very well known in london, sweden, and denmark, the music is ok, i still remember "Bass to the place LONDON" and it makes me move hehehe

it's good to know that somebody is into electronic music ....

peace :)

Hehe man electronic music is my life i have like thousands of these kinda songs... hehe u can prety mush say i'm an addict ;)
now what i ment by the DJ's i listed is not that they r known or not it's that they can make u go crazy on the dancefloor even tho theire names arent Tiesto or van dyk :)
U know the warp brothers were the 1st ones to introduce that groove that became so popular with public domain in "operation blade" then with voodoo and serano in "blood is pumping" then "this is acid" i dunno what u mean about cheezy here is some of theire best songs (in my opinion) try them and tell me whats cheezy about that soud :P
Warp Brothers - Phatt Base (original)
Warp Brothers - We Will Survive (original)
Warp Brothers - Jump Pump Break (original)
Warp Brothers - Going Insane (original but if u can find the 303 Remix i'd recomend that ;))
Warp Brothers - Blast The Speakers (original)

Yes MFPM i know Nicolas...he's fine :) but about PVD I disagree with you, I don't think there's a greater DJ, i've seen alot and I mean alot of DJs playing live, nobody can even get closer to the performance of PVD, not even the so called number one Tiesto (I dont like him)
as for electronic music being dedicated to dance floor, maybe you should try some trance man, trance is not seriously meant for dancing, the name says it all, it puts you in a trance situation, you just fly, i've never been to a trance concert and moved, i only stand in a corner, and I enjoy the music, you may say i'm crazy, but...I sleep while listening to melodic trance ! lol bas that's me i'm too involved in music :)

Biohazard I know the songs you titled above, and yes in certain times they rocked, I've seen public domain playing live once, but I don't like such music at all, i'm more into the melodic electronic, but still in my opinion, the best people to perform live as from what I've seen so far...PVD first, Armin van buuren second, Marco V third, Ferry Corsten third, Quicksilver fourth...but this is only my opinion...

About the groove you mentionned, it's a 440 Acid filtered Synth sound, it's mainly used in all acid tracks, check acid nightmare for example, but the first one to use this Synth sound in a different special way was Josh Wink in his track Higher State of Consciousness in 1998... Still I only vote for trance mate :) it's the best thing ever created, and being a trance composer - arranger, I know how difficult it is to DO a trance song, with all the synth sounds put together in harmony, and the uplifting parts, and the progressive parts, its really a hard work ... :) soon the web design company will finish my site and upload it, and then i'll link u to some of my tracks to know your opinion about them :)

dj beavis im quite impressed man! u seem to know your stuff. as for the trance stuff i actually do go into trance but with different music. i dunno i cannot quite achieve it with tiesto or pvd as you call him!! there are many other musics that can let you get into that trance state you're talking about and for me it's the softer kind the one really kinda spiritual!! what i would really like to do one day though is get to that state that these people get to(i forgot their name you know the ones who turn and turn darawich i guess??) this is the ultimate trance i think and it's fascinating to me although it's quite far from my personal taste, it still amazes me. anyways i was wondering how come u know nicolas matar i mean he's not that famous and i just found out about him coz i went to his club so what about you?

MFPM tonight I'll upload a few stuff for you and I'll link you, I'm gonna lead you to be a trance freak like me lol :P
About nicolas matar, I saw him in club Pacha in Ibiza, he was a resident DJ there, and then I heard his CD Journeys: Latitude 40 degrees...and I knew he's Lebanese, no matter how good or bad he is, coz I have no right to judge him, but at least he reached a certain level that not just any DJ can reach...so he must be something... :)

yea man but that song was lame (i dunno if there is ana well faster remix out there coz the one i have hek makes u fall asleep)

I dunno what u mean about live performance i never went to an actual live concert of any (closest i came was at bakardi nights and heiniken festival and nothing fancy there) tho i think Ferry Corsten may come to leb so hopfully wont miss that

You r totally correct melodic trance is amazing especially when ur feeling kinda down and want your head to go drifting away into far places thus making u forget the pain (well thats what happens in my case) and there i especialy enjoy quicksilver's old songs (planet love, bellisima, escape to paradise,la primavera..) PPK and BBE

Well if you guys are into mediiteranean house, you should deinfitely check out Paco Osuna and David Gausa, really good. Im glad people are getting into House, Eurodance and Trance these days. Definitely my favorite, although I enjoy hiphop everyone once in a while, you know oldschool.
Back to that, check out Dj Alligator I really like him a lot, Sasha (although its too cliche), D- Light for those who are willing to endure a different taste to music, Cosmic Gate, M2M, to list a few.

If you are really interested I would be more than glad to compile a list of Artists according to the different genres.
