And what goth rock albums do you recommend?

Well i have listened to tristania and nightwish. Nightwish is more of a power metal band, and has a Rhapsody/Blind Guardian/Stratovarius vibe in it's music.

As for Tristania, they're very hybrid. Their use of death metal vocals, soprano stuff, classical music, heavy guitars, and theatrics is supposed to make their music rich. I find it ridiculous.

Check the songs "To the sky" for The Cure, and "Personal Jesus" for Depeche Mode. Nice stuff.

Just nice?! They're awesome! Aslan I've always loved "The cure"... Their songs are awesome! Lost, the end of the world, 39, coming up, trap, treasure, cut, end, another day, foxy lady...

Nightwish are one of the bands I love a lot and love their music!
