Here are two for you Dalzi I have no doubt you will love

Wadi3 El Safi - Bayt Samid - وديع الصافي

Apart from its musical beauty, it's one of the rare songs where the singer fuses her personality with the object of her song
as if to become one and the same

And that is always a favourite with the Lebanese Phonecians. They love it as much as they love their tears
when she sings it overseas for them they go into a frenzy of nostalgic outpouring
A sight to behold indeed

And from the dark days when the tears of joy of a city disillusioned with its joie de vivre turned into rivers of blood. Soon the veneer wore off and the city surrendered its best judgement to the cruelest form of self punishment.
Heroism and villainism paled in comparison to the suffering endured by hero and villain alike

What makes you think it's the Lebanese Phoenecians who react that way to it only? My goodness! How many a Lebanese Arab I know went to live under the bombs because of Fairouz. She says "khedne" w hinni ma bikazbou khabar, byekhdouk immediately.

The emphasis is not on the theatrics themselves but the degree of it. Also the fact that the Lebanese phoenicians act in a particularly maudlin way does not exclude the lebanese arabs from being equally theatrical.
