it's like ibiza. the millieu just asks for it. i never quite understood why you need to be high to have MORE FUN. absurd. | I agree absolutely. Too sad they use drugs on the parties, for me goa is like pure drug, no need to feel extra numb:p Quote:

I actually helped a Hungarian and Indian friend, Danger & Roopak set up their record label which is based in Budapest. It is called Procyon Records and specializes in Psychedelic Trance and Ambient music. We organized a Procyon party a while ago (around 2 years), I played the 2nd set and we had Psyside as a live act.
Do you know Jirzij from the PsyBaba shop? |
OMG OMG sure I know about Danger, you wont believe I used to be in good with his girlfriend/fiancee, we were colleagues in a bank, but we lost contact, and I dont know whether they are still together. She told me abt Danger a lot, in fact Danger just started his DJ career back then, it was in 2001. She also told me a lot about the goa parties she attended, hehe I started to listen to goa bc of them:D never heard about it before!!!
And yes I know Jirzij, I mean I met him once when I bought one of his records, he is awsome of course, I love his music!!
How come you know them???:D
ps:well I never been to a goa party, its still a quite closed community here, and my friend circle has nothing to do with this music:p | | | | | Registered Member

I actually met Danger through Roopak his Idian partner from Procyon Records (his dad was Indian Embssador in Budapest:). You might have heard about the Samothraki Dance festival in Greece, well I was introduced to Roopak over there and as he was living in France we became very close friends, so I helped develop the label quite a bit over here. I met Jirzij in Paris later on, then was invited by him to play in Budapest alongside Roopak and Danger, and did a very cool visual projection performance too that night with 2 Lebanese friends. It was an amazing crowd.
I might come again some day, maybe we'll bump into each other, that would be great!

May I recommend you their songs: Marijuana Cha Cha, and the Elég volt (Racism)
But of course the 1968 is a very very big hit!! Reminds me of the Uni parties!!

Not too knowledgable when it comes to trance, but all I know is that I like the industrial stuff a lot! Osiris once handed me a C.D. of a cool collection of trance songs which I listen to whenever I am writing a critical term paper... end result, I get A's on these papers each and every time :P:D | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

No I haven't seen them live yet , but u said it yourself Anima are a great band and their '68 was and still is a big hit indeed . There's something about their rythm which I can't define exactly it's kinda unique and original , I also like "My Fire" .
Well last but not least , thank you for suggesting Marijuana Cha Cha, and the Elég volt (Racism) I'll try to listen to them right away .

You will see what I mean
About those songs, you will find them on youtube too, cant give you the link now, my security system at work doesnt allow it:((

Has anyone over here heard of D.J. Keoki? He is one of my favorite, but aside from my best friend, no one has ever heard of him here in Lebanon. He is a great trance D.J. who became famous in the ninetees and has a nice collection of C.D.s
Any other fans out there? :)
