</dd></dl> Year Zero
(2007)
The upcoming Nine Inch Nails studio album is entitled Year Zero and will be released on April 17, 2007. [50] The first single, entitled " Survivalism", was due for radio airplay on March 6, 2007, [51] but received an early premiere along with other songs from the album on the NIN MySpace page. [52] The song was later released in GarageBand format for remixing.
A viral marketing campaign has emerged to promote the album's concept. Clues from tour t-shirts have led fans to discover websites that describe an " Orwellian picture of the United States circa the year 2022," [53] and a telephone number that returns a clip of "Survivalism". In addition, the Year Zero song "My Violent Heart" was reportedly found on a thumb drive in the bathroom stall at a NIN show in Lisbon, Portugal (as were other new tracks "Me, I'm Not" and "In This Twilight" at other European concert venues) ahead of their debut on MySpace. This suggests that the band itself covertly distributed the new music. Fan participation in this alternate reality game has caught the attention of the media; MTV News, USA Today, and Rolling Stone have cited fan-site The NIN Hotline, forum Echoing the Sound, fan club The Spiral, and NinWiki as sources for new discoveries | | | | | Registered Member

Saliva: Alternative rock/hard rock band who makes use of grunge techniques as well as a bit of nu metal on their older albums though they still incorporate rapped verses to a degree. The band was originally founded in September 1996 in Memphis, Tennessee. Biography:
While Memphis was an unlikely place for an alternative rock/post-grunge band, Saliva was able to follow in the tradition of crafting post-grunge songs in a radio-friendly format popularized by the likes of Creed and Nickelback. After competing in the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Grammy Showcase competition, where they advanced to the final round in New York City, the group self-released their self-titled debut album which sold over 10,000 copies in their region, prompting Island Records to take notice. Their Island debut Every Six Seconds was released in 2001, followed by Back Into Your System in 2002 which included the chart topping hits 'Always', and 'Rest In Pieces' co-written by James Michael and Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe. The band toured in 2003 opening for Kiss and Aerosmith.
On May 29, 2005, guitarist Chris D'abaldo announced he had left the band "for obvious reasons, as the band is not a unit anymore." He then shortly retracted his statement and apologized, declaring on the band's website that "there was a bit of an issue we're working through and we're looking forward to recording a new album later this year". However, band's website currently apologizes yet again for the confusion and confirms that due to "creative differences", D'abaldo is in fact leaving the band, but that Saliva "is completely moving forward as planned and [has] our best music ahead of us".
Recently, on the groups website, information has been given stating that Jonathan Montoya is Saliva's new guitar player. Montoya was previously with Full Devil Jacket before the band went their separate ways.
Saliva released a new album on January 23, 2007 titled Blood Stained Love Story. The single, titled "Ladies & Gentlemen" has been released to radio stations and has made it to #1 on the US Mainstream Rock charts. It can be heard on their MySpace profile.(Saliva - Myspace profile)
Saliva is currently on tour alongside Puddle of Mudd, Buckcherry, and headliner Three Days Grace. Blood Stained Love Story is an album by hard rock band Saliva which was released on January 23, 2007. This is their first album with new guitarist Jonathan Montoya after the departure of Chris D’abaldo. The entire album, including bonus tracks, was leaked onto filesharing networks on Sunday, January 21, 2007.
The album debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 19, selling 31,000 copies in its first week | | | | | Registered Member

Linkin Park's Minutes To Midnight Minutes to Midnight is Linkin Park's upcoming third studio album, scheduled for release worldwide on May 14, 2007, and May 15 for North America.
The title is a reference to the Doomsday Clock, where "Minutes to Midnight" is a measure of the proximity of the world to nuclear destruction. At the time of the title's announcement, the clock stood at 5 minutes to midnight. Mike Shinoda has explained that the album has various meanings:
“ Don't take that at face value. There are layers of meaning, most are metaphoric...It’s definitely a reference to the doomsday clock—the Apocalypse—a metaphor for death and rebirth, but it could also be applied to the music industry, sort of tongue-in-cheek." Release
The album was delayed multiple times, first scheduled for summer 2006, then fall 2006, then early 2007, and now May 14, 2007 worldwide with the North American release the day after. In an interview in September 2006, Shinoda explained, "When songs are pouring out you don't ever want to stop that. We already have over 100 roughs for songs. We've narrowed it down since but we're not ready to commit to those yet." From the early demo sessions, "[Qwerty]", which was rumored to be on Minutes to Midnight, has appeared on the Linkin Park Underground v6.0 CD on December 5, 2006 in both live and studio demo versions. A live version of "[Qwerty]" recorded at the Somer Sonic Festival in 2006 is included as a bonus track on the album.
"This was a year-and-a-half long process of really hard work and experimentation in the studio that yielded about 150 rough songs," guitarist Brad Delson told Billboard.com. "Not only is this album incredibly diverse, but the depth of the material is really strong."
The first single, "What I've Done", was released on April 2, 2007, and debuted at number one on the U.S. Modern Rock chart. Musical style
In a recent interview with MTV.com, Chester Bennington explained that the nu metal sound from their previous albums is completely gone. He also stated that the new album is a mix of punk, classic rock, and hip-hop beats.
In the December issue of Blender magazine, Chester talked a little bit about the sound of the upcoming album, "Rick has brought more of a stripped down, classic-rock and hip-hop kind of feel. We're using vintage guitars and drums carved out of wood and skin for a more tribal sound. It's definitely not nu metal."
In an interview with Brazilian paper Folhateen, Chester confirmed that the 'rap/rock', 'nu-metal' sound that Linkin Park came to be known for, is almost non-existent on the new album, "This time around, Mike Shinoda is singing a lot more. It may seem like he's not on the record, but he's doing a lot of the harmonics. He also sings a couple of songs alone. We're presenting ourselves in a different way. We've had a hair cut, clothing changes and, here it is, here is a new thing." Track listing

Paradise Lost are a heavy metal band formed in 1988 in Halifax, UK. Along with countrymates Anathema and My Dying Bride, they are credited for creating the subgenre known as "doom/death" metal. In Requiem is Paradise Lost's forthcoming eleventh studio album, again with Rhys Fulber on production duties. Published release dates (subject to change) include May 18th 2007 (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, and Italy), May 21st 2007 (U.K., France, Spain, Denmark, Norway, European countries not otherwise specified), May 23rd 2007 (Finland, Sweden, Hungary), and June 5 2007 in the U.S.[1][2]. Seth Siro Anton is responsible for the artwork, which can be seen here. Nick Holmes has confirmed that 15 tracks have been recorded for the new album [3], including one cover. A press release states, "The melancholic atmosphere is as oppressive as ever, but this go round the gloom is fused with an equal amount of dense, punishing riffs"[4]. The first single to be released from the album will be The Enemy [5]. The album was leaked onto the internet in its entirety on April 20, 2007. The album is notable for featuring some harsher vocals by Nick Holmes, similar to the style he had on Icon. | | | | | Registered Member

Celine Dion's New Album "D'elles" D'Elles (meaning From Them) is the title of Céline Dion's most recent French language album. It was released on May 18, 2007 in certain European countries (including Austria, Belgium, Poland and Switzerland). May 21, 2007 in others (including France and the United Kingdom) and May 22, 2007 in Canada. It is her twenty-third French album, and thirty-fourth if counting all longplays. Album Information:
The lyrics were written by ten prominent female writers from Quebec (Jovette Alice Bernier, Janette Bertrand, Denise Bombardier, Marie Laberge, Lise Payette) and France (Nina Bouraoui, Françoise Dorin, Nathalie Nechtschein, Christine Orban, George Sand). Seven out of thirteen songs planned for the album were recorded on December 20th and 21st 2006 at the Piccolo Studios, Montreal. A second version of "A Cause," called "On S'est Almé à Cause" was recorded in New York, in early February 2007. This one was produced by Tino Izzo (the first version by Jacques Veneruso). Jean-Jacques Goldman was the artistic director for this project. The title is a spin-off of that of Dion's 1995 album D'eux. Both can be translated as From Them, with D'Elles being the specifically feminine version.
The first single "Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une (Je Serais Celle-là)" written by Françoise Dorin and David Gategno, premiered on February 14, 2007 on radiostations in Francophone countries. It was released commercially on April 13, 2007 and debuted at #1 on the French Singles chart. The second single "Immensité" written by Nina Bouraoui and Jacques Veneruso was sent the radio on April 25, 2007. Dion will visit France in mid-October 2007 to promote her album and the third single "A Cause."
Céline Dion was in Montreal on May 11-12, 2007 to tape two TV-Specials dedicated to the issue of her album D'Elles: one for the French TV-network TF1 and one for the Quebecer TVA.
During the first taping for TF1, Dion sang live several songs with French singers: "Hymne a l'amour" with Maurane and Johnny Hallyday, "Blueberry Hill" with Johnny Hallyday, "The Show Must Go On" with Christophe Maé and David Hallyday, "My Heart Will Go On" with Lââm and Amel Bent, "Caroline" with MC Solaar and Nolween Leroy... and then she sang in playback 3 songs from D'Elles: "Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une (Je Serais Celle-là)," "A Cause" and "Immensité."
During the second taping for TVA, Dion sang live the Italian song "Caruso" with Florent Pagny (this duet will be included in the French special) and many new songs in playback: "Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une (Je Serais Celle-là)," "Immensité," "Je Cherche l'Ombre," "Berceuse," "La Diva," "Le Temps Qui Compte" and "On S'est Aimé A Cause." They also showed the recording sessions for "Femme Comme Chacune," "Lettre De Georges Sand A Alfred De Musset" and "Si J’étais Quelqu’un" and few footages taken from the A New Day... DVD, which is scheduled to be released worldwide at the end of 2007 (footages of "River Deep, Mountain High" and more footages from "behind the scenes" and "A New Day... in the life of Céline."
