Caesars is the name of a Swedish alternative rock band. In their native Sweden the band was originally known as Caesars Palace, and in the rest of Scandinavia they are known as Twelve Caesars. Elsewhere they go by the name Caesars. Outside of Sweden, they may be best known for the song "Jerk It Out", which appears in an iPod advertisement, as well as the Electronic Arts video games SSX 3 and FIFA Football 2004, aka FIFA Soccer 2004 and also on the PS2 game LMA Manager 2005, and arcade game Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA. They have won Swedish Grammy Awards for best album and best new artist.

Wind me up
put me down
start me off and watch me go
I'll be running circles around you sooner than you know
A little off center
and i'm out of tune
just kickin this can along the avenue
But i'm alright

coz it's easy once you know how it's done
you can't stop now
it's already begun
you feel it
running through your bones

and you jerk it out
jerk it out

shut up
hush your mouth
can't you hear you talk to loud?
No I can't hear nothing 'cause I got my head up in the clouds
I bite off anything that I can chew
I'm chasing cars up and down the avenue
But that's ok

coz it's easy once you know how it's done
you can't stop now
it's already begun
you feel it
running through your bones

so you jerk it out
jerk it out

Check out the cool riff on Jerk It Out

Very cool

Peter Bjorn and John are a Swedish indie rock band, formed in Stockholm in 1999. The current members are Peter Morén on vocals, guitar, and harmonica; Björn Yttling on vocals, bass and keyboards; and John Eriksson on drums, percussion, and vocals.
To date they are best known for the 2006 single "Young Folks", which featured Victoria Bergsman of The Concretes and was a top 40 hit in the UK Singles Chart. It was also named NME's second best track of 2006, beaten only by "Over and Over" by Hot Chip. In Australia it was voted number 16 in the annual Triple J Hottest 100 for 2006.

"Young Folks" is the first single off of Peter Bjorn and John's third album Writer's Block. It features Victoria Bergsman of The Concretes as a guest vocalist. It was ranked at #5 on Pitchfork Media's list of the top 100 songs of 2006 after they gave it a track review of three out of five stars on July 19, 2006. The song has gained much of it's popularity from YouTube after the music video was featured on the website.
  • "Young Folks" was featured in the Grey's Anatomy episode "Let the Angels Commit".
  • "Young Folks" was also featured in the How I Met Your Mother episode "Monday Night Football", which aired February 5, 2007.
  • "Young Folks" was used in MTV Australia's Christmas Throwie campaign, which consisted of throwing 2000 glowing LEDs to light up Sydney buildings.
  • Peter Bjorn and John are currently touring to promote the album Writer's Block and they will be accompanied by Victoria Bergsman. Bergsman will be a solo opening act, and join the band for "Young Folks".

Young Folks - Peter, Bjorn & John

(Feat. Victoria Bergsman)

if i told you things i did before
told you how i used to be
would you go along with someone like me
if you knew my story word for word
had all of my history
would you go along with someone like me

i did before and had my share
it didn't lead nowhere
i would go along with someone like you
it doesn't matter what you do
who you were hanging with
we could stick around and see this night through

and we don't care about the young folks
talkin' bout the young style
and we don't care about the old folks
talkin' 'bout the old style too
and we don't care about our own faults
talkin' 'bout our own style
all we care about is talking
talking only me and you

usually when things has gone this far
people tend to disappear
no one would surprise me unless you do

i can tell there's something goin' on
hours seem to disappear
everyone is leaving i'm still with you

it doesn't matter what we do
where we are going to
we can stick around and see this night through

and we don't care about the young folks
talkin' bout the young style
and we don't care about the old folks
talkin' 'bout the old style too
and we don't care about our own faults
talkin' 'bout our own style
all we care about is talking
talking only me and you

and we don't care about the young folks
talkin' bout the young style
and we don't care about the old folks
talkin' 'bout the old style too
and we don't care about our own faults
talkin' 'bout our own style
all we care about is talking
talking only me and you
(repeat)
talking only me and you

talking only me and you
talking only me and you

Thumbs down yawn - 17th March 2007

Chimaira's new album [Resurrection] has been out for a few weeks now, no fanfare and for good reason, quite a disappointing compilation of songs with ok/good music but lousy lyrics for the most part.

boo.

Neon Bible is Arcade Fire's second full-length album, the follow-up to their breakthrough Funeral. It was released on March 5, 2007 in Europe and on March 6, 2007 in North America.

The first single, "Intervention", was released on US iTunes on December 28, 2006. It could also be heard by calling (866) NEON-BIBLE, extension number 7777 (though now you can listen to the US single, "Black Mirror").

The album makes use of a pipe organ, a hurdy gurdy, a military choir, and a full Hungarian orchestra, among others.

Arcade Fire - Intervention

Arcade Fire - Intervention (Video Live on SNL)

The king's taken back the throne
The useless seed is sown
When they say they're cutting off the phone
I tell 'em you're not home

No place to hide
You were fighting as a soldier on their side
You're still a soldier in your mind
Though nothing's on the line

You say it's money that we need
As if we're only mouths to feed
I know no matter what you say
There are some debts you'll never pay

Working for the Church while your family dies
You take what they give you and you keep it inside
Ever spark of friendship and love will die without a home
Hear the soldier groan, "We'll go at it alone"

I can taste the fear
Lift me up and take me out of here
Don't wanna fight, don't wanna die
Just wanna hear you cry

Who's gonna throw the very first stone?
Oh! Who's gonna reset the bone?
Walking with your head in a sling
Wanna hear the solider sing:
"Been working for the Church while my family dies
Your little baby sister's gonna lose her mind
Every spark of friendship and love will die without a home"
Hear the soldier groan "We'll go at it alone.

I can taste your fear
It's gonna lift you up and take you out of here
And the bone shall never heal
I care not if you kneel

We can't find you now
But they're gonna get the money back somehow
And when you finally disappear
We'll just say you were never here

Working for the church while your life falls apart
Singing halleluiah with the fear in your heart
Every spark of friendship and love will die without a home
Hear the soldier groan, "We'll go at it alone"
Hear the soldier groan, "We'll go at it alone"

Naomi Striemer:

Naomi Striemer (born 1983) is a Canadian singer. From Nova Scotia, the homeschooled 23 year old was discovered following a performance at an Indigo Bookstore. She had been working the independent route after being dropped from Epic Records six years earlier.

She has received a good deal of press leading up to the release of her first album, Images, which features Carlos Santana's guitar work on the song "Cars."

Recently, on " Sounds Like Canada " CBC radio ( 11/21 2006 ), Ms. Striemer revealed that she is very protective of her voice. Her diet excludes caffeine, fizzy drinks and very hot / cold items. Concerning her childhood , she reflected on the close ties she had with nature and animals on the farm. While still 5 or 6 she sang with adults in a group. She further stated that she basically knew from an early age she wanted to be a singer ( professionally ).

She caught the attention of Billboard's Chuck Taylor, who describes her first single as "The year's most promising melodic debut...Remember the first time you heard Whitney, Mariah or Celine and recognized a star was born?"

</td> <td style="width: 33%;" valign="top">...

</td> </tr> </tbody></table> Good Morning Revival is the fourth album by Good Charlotte and the follow up to the 2004 release The Chronicles of Life and Death.
The album's original release date was June 2006, but it has not yet been released. The release was pushed back to October, after which it was pushed back further to February 2007. Lead singer Joel Madden said in an interview with MuchMusic that the album release has been pushed back once more to March 5, 2007 [1]. On December 6, 2006, the band's website said that the album will now be released March 20, 2007. Recently the band posted a new message on their website saying that the album will be released March 27, 2007. However, "Top20 Music" reported on March 18[2] that the album is fully avaliable for download on the UK iTunes Music Store.
On Good Charlotte's website, Benji Madden posted a video and announced that the song "Keep Your Hands Off My Girl" would be posted on the band's MySpace. The song premiered September 22nd, 2006 online and it is available now to hear at the band's MySpace[3] account and at the Good Charlotte website. Later, a video for the song was posted in the band's MySpace page on October 26th, 2006. The first single from the album, The River, featuring Avenged Sevenfold's lead singer, M. Shadows and guitarist Synyster Gates, appeared online January 4th, 2007. On other websites & instore at HMV, the release date of Good Morning Revival is been listed as the 19th March in the UK, the same day that the band's third DVD, Fast Future Generation is released.
At midnight, on January 23rd, the forthcoming record was made available for preorder on iTunes. When preordered, the single, "The River" is downloaded immediately, while the rest of the album is queued to be downloaded on the released date. Preordering on iTunes also provides the exclusive bonus version of the aformentioned single, and a music video of an acoustic session of the song, "Misery".
The album was leaked in its entirety (with two bonus tracks) on March 14, 2007.

Track listing

Kerrang! magazine had an interview with Good Charlotte in which the band named confirmed tracks. They also pointed out that "Good Morning" would be the intro and first track on the album. There are rumors that "Good Morning" may be instrumental, as the band's previous two albums' first songs were instrumental. "March On" will be the outro and last track on the album, "It is an old school song for our old school fans" said Joel Madden. The songs "A Beautiful Place" and "Where Would We Be?" have a Coldplay-esque sound according to another article from Kerrang! magazine. Another article from Kerrang!, featured Billy Martin talking about his house. He mentioned that when he first got his piano, he sat down and wrote "Where Would We Be?", the first Good Charlotte song ever written for a piano. The album will contain 13 tracks and is scheduled to have bonus track(s).

Thumbs up Brazilian Girls - Le Territoire - 23rd March 2007

Super catchy French tune..

Brazilian Girls - Le Territoire

Oooh- elles s’emmelent

Default Dolores O'Riordan - Are You Listening? - 3rd April 2007

Dolores O’Riordan - songstress, smoldering icon and critically acclaimed voice of The Cranberries – is back. Her first-ever solo LP Are You Listening? is released on Sanctuary Records, May 15th and features the stunning new single “Ordinary Day.” Co-produced by Youth, Dan Brodbeck and engineered by Rich Chycki, the eagerly anticipated album is a 12-track tour de force and marks her first release in four years.

Written and recorded between her homes in Canada and Dublin, the album is a striking return to form, punctuated with angular chords and that crystalline voice. Folk-tinged, electric and deftly powerful, it’s also a relentlessly melodic success. “My time after The Cranberries was a clean slate – no pressure and no contracts,” Dolores enthuses. “It was the first time in my life I was a free agent. I had no inhibitions, which is how I felt when I first started out. That’s all visible here.”

Two of the tracks – “Apple of My Eye” and the forthcoming single “Ordinary Day” - were produced by BRIT Award winner, Youth, whose previous credits include The Verve, Embrace, Primal Scream, U2 and Paul McCartney. “He certainly brought his own vision to the table and softened the tracks without affecting their integrity or passion.”

Ultimately, the CD was a process inspired by personal experiences, both light and dark. “My mother-in-law died of cancer shortly after I left The Cranberries, which was devastating. It was like watching a beast attack from the inside out, so the song “Black Widow” is a metaphor inspired by that. At the other end of the spectrum ”Apple Of My Eye” was written about my husband and “Ordinary Day” reflects the birth of my third baby, Dakota.”

Other album highlights include the hypnotic “In the Garden,” with its shimmering guitar-rock crescendo, the delicateness of “Watch the Stars,” and “Loser,” which bristles with loops, layered vocals and an instant, razor-sharp hook. “It was a very organic, natural experience.” Dolores adds, “I play guitar and have four fantastic musicians…a great bass player, a stellar drummer and an immaculate guitarist. Once the first 7 songs were penned, we went into the studio and recorded them first. We didn’t rush it. In total, the writing and recording was a four-year period.”

“The album was an awakening for me in my life – a journey that I completed. It’s like I crossed a bridge, which is a great new plateau to be on. My life is so different to how it was 10 years ago and there’s a great sense of acceptance. It’s a very exciting time to be releasing music again too. Song-writing is truly coming back.”

Guys, what do you think of the album?
I downloaded it and it's absolutely great, i love Dolores's voice ever since the cramberries days.
