Maria - A Symbol of Lebanese Art

حدث عطيم وبالغ الأهمية إحتفلت بإحيائه ماريا في مربع "سيانا"، ألا وهو ذكرى ميلادها، لكننا وللأسف لم نعرف كم بلغت تلك "الطفلة الظاهرة" من العمر، في موهبتها الغريبة والفذّة في كل شيء ما عدا ... الغناء.
شلة من الأصدقاء ومن بينهم جاد صوايا مدير اعمالها، احتفلوا بالذكرى المميزة التي أنعمت علينا بماريا التي تكرمت على الجيل الجديد بمجموعة من الأغنيات التافهة، لا بل اكثر، هي تعدنا بفتح مدارس تطلق عليها اسم "مدارس ماريا"... يخزي العين.
الماكياج والشعر المصفف وفستان "باربي" والكاميرات كلها موجودة لزوم الإحتفال، والأصدقاء يبتسمون ويضحكون، فرحين بصديقتهم "شبه المغنية" التي لم يعرف احد بم فكرت وهي تصعد فجأة على قالب الحلوى وترقص في داخله، ام ان الفكرة "الجهنمية" كانت محضرة سلفا لزوم الإستعراض "الغير شكل" التي يهمها ان تظهر من خلاله وهي غير عابئة بأي شيء.
صعدت ماريا الى الطاولة، رقصت في قالب الحلوى بينما الآلاف يموتون من الجوع، وهي تدوس بقدميها على "النعمة"، وترقص وتتمايل وتغني بصوتها وتطرب الجماهير....
هذا هو ما وصلت اليه حال الفن اليوم، ولا اعتقد اننا نحتاج كثيرا الى التعليق، حيث للصور بقية الكلام....

وكان كل شيء طبيعيا قبل الضرب

What should we say...

Is it freedom ?

Should we condemn ?

Should we like the originality ?

Should we deny her seduction capacity ?

Is an "Artist" free to do anything or does he have a higher responsibility and should refrain from so many things ? including what we're seeing here.

Let's ask some further questions to our morality:

If we were invited and that thing happened in front of us (that's in case none of us has done any worse), how would we have behaved ?

if we were maria, how would we have behaved ?

In a world of "Democracy" and "Freedom" and refusal of the Platonic school of life, should we blame her for what appears in the picture ?


Who's to blame (in case there's anyone to blame... and in case you find there is anything to blame about) ?

As a question and by principle of freedom she is free to do whatever she wants.

Is it a morally sound way to behave? That's subjective to each of us.

i think she's just a little young 19 yr old girl abused by some guys in order to gain money! i know u don't need to be smart in order not to stab on the cake, still i really pitty her for not being mature enough!
with her songs and sucettes, and barby style she's being the "bad example" for every child, and there must be some sick mind working all this out! and she's just a tool! too bad!

She's free to do whatever she likes. We're free to criticize her all we like.

I personally don't really care. After all, it's her private birthday party, and she has the right to be a *****, a terrible singer, or anything she likes because it's HER life. On a brighter note, she seems to be having fun, and that's great... nothing wrong with that.

It doesn't really concern me.

la question qui se pose ou va t'on??? pourquoi les médias acceptent t'ils pour avoir des sous en plus, diffuser des clips comme ceux de maria???

She's free to do whatever she wants but SHE IS NOT FREE TO CALL HERSELFA LEBANESE ARTIST!! She wants to have fun, it's her right but let her have it without harming the level of our art! There are millions of other ways to have fun. Whenever you belong to a group, a group that represents Lebanese Art, you are not free to be whoring around like that. Show some respect to the great artisits that we have and that share the same career as you or get yourself out.
