again, chapeau bas for the director, it was a refreshing watch.
90% of the movie was non-political, the message from this movie was in the last 10% of it, it said that
- the LF were the ones who executed,
- it showed the Israelis watching but not participating in the massacre,
- some of the israeli soldiers launhed illumination bombs but did not participate,
- It showed that someone woke up Sharon late at night to tell him that there is a massacre going on in the camps and he dealt with it as if he knew and accepted what was happening.
- It showed 3 Israeli soldiers witnessing an LFer killing an old man, they asked him why he did that, he said that he told him to kneel, the old man refused so he shot him in his brain and stomach.

You can only admire people who admit their mistakes and who are self critical. Wish more Lebanese were like that.

DID U NOTICE THE FREAKY RESEMBLANCE BETWEEN THE MERMAID AND HAIFA WEHBE!!??
you're 100% right, my father did this comment too
It seems that the producer did the best he could to squeeze his imagination skills to come out with a drawing ofthe most attractive woman, it turned out to be Haifa Wehbeh.
Haifa was 27 in 1982, but she was veiled.

why do israelis care to deny their responsibility of specifically sabra/shatila massacre, they did worse than that, what would it change if they add this to their record and relieve their LF fellows.
Tey have massacres at a rate of one every one or two years.

Just after the Gaza war; swiss TV featured the movie in prime time!! that was major!

The director Ari Folman was a bit harrassed inside 'Israel' for the movie; it was not well featured in Israeli cinemas. But, it is well known around here. Many French I know have seen it.

Its a must see for anyone interested in seeing a different view from an Israeli filmmaker.

you'll love the degree of detail in raouche, 3ayn lemraysey, wimpy hamra, and different parts of Beirut if you're a Beiruti.

As for the bias; its not a newspiece, so there is no bias to discuss. Its an opinion of a filmmaker and his/ his character's experience of the beirut invasion memories.

Bashir lovers don't watch it. It will ruin your given dogmas.
I like your comment, the drawings were very beautiful, especially those of Ain el mraiseh
