There couldn't be such a thing as a French "American Pie", the French are too subtle to come up with something remotely close to "American Pie".

I'm not a big fan of French movies to tell you the truth. I mean either it is really boring Cannes-winning movies, about a very random real-life story, where strangely, there is no story nor a moral to it. Or it is a series of very badly done comical movies like "Un diner de con" (seriously!) or Taxi (come on, didn't you get that the first one was already very bad???) or even Les Bronzés...

I mean, the difference btw the French and the Americans, is that when Americans make a very bad movie, they know it! The French award them at Cannes!

However, some of my favorite movies are French. For the few that I can remember:
- Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain
- La Grande Vadrouille
- Rabbi Jacob
- Germinal
- Le Pianiste (yes it's French)
- Some movies with Louis de Funès and Pierre Richard
- Fanfan la tulipe (1953)
- Le Comte de Monte Cristo

And some others I may have forgotten...
