That's the spirit salsa,merenge,cumbia....bring it on. Love it.
Born in South America, I picked up this dances quickly. You must continue salsa and you should investigate merenge and cumbia. | | | | | Registered Member

from which country is it?? | Cumbia is the most popular dance/music in Colombia and is one of the most popular in the latin world.
In Venezuela if you would go to a club or a party cumbia would be played as much as salsa or merenge, it's a bit slower, but it's fun.

Been practicing Latin dance (salsa, mambo, rumba, samba, merengue, cha cha, cumbia, bachata, bolero, cumbia, tango, valse, paso doble,jive,waltz,foxtrot......) for 7 years now,but still got a long way to become professional. My best is salsa. Tell someone u'r going to a salsa club & u reveal the language, the high-heeled dress code,& the fact that u'r about to have an energetic night out. Salsa is what u eat..In Spanish "salsa" means "sauce"..like adding sauce on ur moves...a dance of flavor, spiciness & liturgy! Music of soul & body...
P.S. Bodhi no need to worry bout ur shoes..ur partner could help, she will have to lead u in a way u won't step on her foot..although in partner dances the man(salseros) is the LEADER...& the woman(salseras) is the FOLLOWER.. but still she can help,so run find urself a professional partner & don't worry bout the rest..If u can't find one...i can help | | | | | Registered Member

We have quite the dancer here!! Mui Caliente!!! Vamonos a Bailar!!!
I love dancing a lot...I started with Folklore dancing, Oriental belly dancing, Salsa, Merengue, Cha cha!!! Bas I am just an amateur!
I love dabke, and I danced with a group at the University for 2 years. We did Lebanese Folklore dances, and dabke... I enjoyed that a lot.
Bas my absolute favorite to watch is the Tango!!! Nothing more erotic than that!!!
THe dances that I am pretty good at and I love are: Charleston and Tap dancing!!! Tap is awesome and very lively, especially the exaggerated Broadway tap! I love the beat and the rhythm resulting from it. I love Charleston too!!!! The setting of the Charleston in the 1920s is something else!! It is not as easy as it seems to be either!
Aside from all that, I love to just stand infront of the mirror and do the macarena with my 2 year-old daughter... | | | | | Registered Member

i love salsa too...rock is one of my favorite also
by the way in all dances the woman (which is the follower) can help, especially in valse...she has her territory to defend so in some way she leads the "cavalier"!! In salsa and rock also woman can lead in some way, it depends on her way of moving and the energy she is giving!!!
