I think she is free to do with her self as she pleases... I once cut my hair very short (not shaved it but pretty close) and it was my fashion statement... It does not have anything to do with anything at all... just leave the poor girl alone! I doubt any person who attacks anyone like this appreciates it if someone close to him gets attacked this way! Put yourself in her shoes before judging her!

I think she looks beautiful this way... She looks as beautiful as any other girl with lukemia who lost her hair because of chemotherapy.

She is the queen of pop... and she is an artist... let her be herself...

I kind of disagree! Spears and others like her are thirsty for media attention! They do the impossible to get the attention of the media in order to sell one or two more records. Such artists should be condemned and punished by fans and people, by stop buying their albums and showing up to their shows.

Britney Spears checks into rehab


Britney Spears has entered a rehabilitation center, her spokesman said on Tuesday, capping a long weekend in which the pop star made international news by shaving her head at a Los Angeles hair salon.

"Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility today," Spears publicist Larry Rudolph said in a written statement. "We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those (privacy concerns) of her family and friends at this time."

Rudolph did not say what Spears, 25, would be treated for or where the rehabilitation facility was located. Celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported the center was in the Los Angeles area and that she entered it at the urging of family members.

Several news organizations reported on Friday that Spears, who split from husband Kevin Federline in November, had briefly entered a rehabilitation center in the Caribbean island of Antigua.

Later on Friday she was spotted by celebrity photographers at a Los Angeles hair salon shaving her own head.

Spears, who first shot to fame as a teenager, was repeatedly photographed in December climbing out of cars without wearing underpants while in the company of celebrity heiress Paris Hilton.

In January, Spears posted a message on her Web site acknowledging the negative publicity, while writing, "I look forward to coming back this year bigger and better than ever and to reaching out to my fans on a more personal level."

Why not shaving her head??? she is free to do whatever she wants . This is her life ans her body. Why we should blame her ??? She is not hurting anyone and she is expressing herself.

I could not care less for punishing people honestly ya Lex. I do not consider myself the moral judge of the world and deem it necessary to punish people such as Spears or Hilton or their likes for their partying or haircuts or so.

I'm interested more in the music of people, and when Spears becomes a threatening effect on my teenage daughter (in the far future ya3ni), I'll use her as an example to highlight the effects of such actions especially the pregnancy issue, but I am not going to act as a moral judge honestly because I think we are all smart enough to assess things and choose what we want to affect us, and what we want left out... Choosing to punish Spears is afterall an individual's choice, but I think there are more important issues in this world to busy oneself with other than judging and punishing Spears.
