Default Batman -- Dark Knight - 18th July 2008

I'll keep this brief:

Watch this movie as soon as it is released in whatever country you're in. It's seriously one of the greatest works produced this decade if not ever.

Yes.

I rarely get this excited about movies, and I have to say, this film is pure brilliance.

If anything, just watch it for The Joker. He's the best villain I've ever seen in film.

Why Hans Zimmer did the music instead of Danny Elfman? Big mistake.

You must be joking! Hans Zimmer is the king of kings for scoring soundtracks and heroic uplifting music!

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Warner Bros. executive says the Batman sequel "The Dark Knight" has set a single-day box office record by taking in $66.4 million on opening day.

The movie's Friday haul surpasses the previous record of $59.8 million set last year by "Spider-Man 3." "The Dark Knight" also might break the opening weekend record of $151.1 million that also was posted by "Spider-Man 3."

Warner Bros. head of distribution Dan Fellman says the death of co-star Heath Ledger and the buzz about his frenzied performance as the Batman villain Joker was a big part of the movie's allure.

Lord of the rings? Have u spotted any choreography in the fight scenes? I have failed to spot not one single continuous sequence of hacking and slashing, its all dumbed down to a hystericly dumb number of edits. Really bad fighting scenes. Being released after a movie like "The Matrix", no such thing is acceptable, for a "big budget" movie i mean. Yet it designated to an American audience, and they are used to dumb down stupid uncomplex fight scenes...so yeah. In terms of cinematography, set decoration and visual effects it is sublime, but other than those two things, nothing caught my interest, not the stupid overused story and elements of the tolkien universe, neither those ugly *** orcs, i found the story to be stupid as hell, and for the hell of me i couldnt remember and follow who was who, grimly and aragon and hompakon and falgor and sampafairy...whata hell.

Now, for good movies in the past decade, well theres Olivers Stone "U turn", if u like japanese anime Hayao Miyazaki's "Princess Mononoke".

No one will beat Nicholsons performance as the Jocker in the first Batman movie, that said and done, im not refuting that Keath is an amazing actor, its just....he cant be as good or better than Jack Nicholson!

Anywayz ill be the judge when i see the movie. Keath Ledger Rest In Peace.
