It's a story about a lebanese girl (Flavia Bechara, also starred in Cerf-Volant) who falls in love with a jewish boy in Montreal.

And this is supposed to be a portrayal of how progressive Lebanese society is, that a Lebanese girl would love a jewish boy? Why do I always find Lebanese movies so vain and bland?

How about something more controversial and yet resonant from our uber-talented cinematographers and actors? Something more gritty and dirty. Perhaps movies that are more reflective of the issues and broad-based flaws that plague our country, like sectarianism, racism, social stigmas, extremism, etc.
