Why is it that everytime something happens to me, I start hearing names that I haven't heard for ages? people who haven't called me for years they start calling and asking about whatever happened?
I see it this way...I think people who do so are not people who really care about you, they care about what happened, in other words, they don't call to support you, they simply call to know what happened, it's curiosity, they just wanna know and enjoy the story of what happened to simply have a subject to talk about with their friends who also are suffering from the same sickness! And yes sometimes to act as if they're feeling down coz something happened with their friend which is me (not really) and this way they can attract the attention of whoever is sitting with them! That makes them attention seekers!
Some people enjoy other people's suffering, and that's exactly where words of wisdom take place! they start giving you quotes about life and they start teaching you life, they simply don't listen to you! they only wait for their turn to speak! and who on earth said that people need such support? the only person who can support you is YOU...The best thing a person should do to support you is Shutting UP and listening to you! cause you already know what they are saying, and you already know your quotes of wisdom! they are not teaching you cause simply they can't! why ? because they don't care! You can't teach anybody anything if you don't care about him/her ! it's only when you care that you start speaking the truth...else than that...It's all fake!

Anyway, what are you suffering from? It seems that you are trying to vent your anger, your anger at both "what" bothers you and "who" bothers you. let us know.

I have no anger in me, I don't even have a mean bone in my body, but it's our everyday sickness that I'm talking about, if you don't pass through this, then you're lucky, but I'm sure that most of the members here suffer from this issue, anyway I'm not talking about a personal problem that happened no, I don't even talk to people when I'm in trouble, but this thing happened to me once, and the bell rang, and then I started hearing from people the same old brand new thing, so I wanted to put it in words.

Anyway, I don't think it's nosiness on the part of your former friends, but guilt at letting the years drift them away from you. So stop whining because you're doing the same thing you allege that they do (ie attention-seeking)

You are right some are just opportunistic but trust me sometimes days just pass us by so quickly and while we are caught by work,life's annoyances, we unintentionally drift away from friends. So try to give them the benefit of the doubt :-)

And yes you are sooo right some people don't listen! they think they are in a play and they just wait for their time to speak! quite annoying indeed..

I just can't agree a lot in what u said here, but again i don't mean to attack you or anything beavis cause thats your opinion.
In some ways you are right but in others you're not. When u have sometimes many things in ur life that u have to do like work, personnal life, etc... u are away from all ur friends and those friends are away from u at the same time, so both of u don't have the time to get in contact with each others.
But u have some of them who are not even interested in u, when u talk they don't listen, they don't care about what you're saying, they don't focus...
