I didn't eat anything yet, I am on a strong diet in order to loose the 4 kilos I gained by spending 12 days in Lebanon!

meat balls in tomato sauce with " Rib Rimman " and snoubar and lots of onions ...
next to a nice plate of rice and "sh3iriey"

1. you fry meat balls then you take them out of pan.
2. in same oil you fry onions that can be sliced long or leave them as they are, if you have small onions.
3. then you add meat balls, tomato juice and "snoubar" that you would have just fried.
4. Add salt + rib rimman a teaspoon

that is it
Bon appetit

you reminded me of mjadra 7amra. ta3rfeh il weldeh wa''afit tutbokh mjadra 7amra. apparently you're supposed to (semi) burn the onions to give it that color (and taste). But there's been research that suggests burned fried food may cause cancer http://www.personalconsult.com/artic...rnedfoods.html . On top of that there's also Islamic law for us that says it's makrooh to eat burned food.

So now we've stopped making it and eat mjadra 'binneh' instead..lol

I love mjaddarra 7amra.. I just burn the onions and add their sauce to the 3addas and bourghol .. I dont add the burned onions..

I did not know that muslims should not eat burned food ..is there a proof on that..
