We don't use the 2 wheels in Lebanon, because simply, there are no rules to protect it and the roads are not shaped in way that allows 2 wheels transportation.

They only use 2 wheels in Lebanon for delivery and for "y2ebbouwa"

w btw, nice title! (Vroum vroum...)

it was sooooo much fun, I was not driving my car anymore when I had my moto. i miss it so much

I would definitely go with a vintage old school Harley, or a chopper of my own design and built from my own hands.

Lets take ridicilous laws of Lebanese Motorcyle.

Lebanon passed a law requiring all motorcyclists to wear helmets. Which I think is a must. Well, few years ago, some thugs assassinated a couple judges in Sidon and took off on motorcycles and guess what, they were wearing helments so the ISF could not "identify" the assassins.

It gets better, what followed was an announcment from the minister of the lack of Interior was to BAN all motorcycle helmets.

I personaly prefer the Super Sport Touring aspect of Motorcycling.

This is one of the few markets out there that truly inspire the art of Touring while riding a motorcycle.

Sport Tourers, you probably seen them in your travels, or a few in Lebanon are motorcycles that are over 1000cc engine size. Gas tanks that can extend over 5 gallons and the comfort level is such where you can enjoy the performance of a race with more comfort.

Such examples are the

BMW 1200 RT

or the Honda ST1300

and the Yamaha FJR1300

just to name a few.

These bikes are well made and are ideal for long distance riding. The culture on the sport tourer riders are very common through out the world. They are typically respected and respect the art of riding. They spend about 15k for the bikes and another 2K on riding gear. From the latest helmets to the leather boots and gloves. I have yet to see a sport tourer with shorts and sandals.

These guys when they ride, they plan to do so for at least 300 to 500 Klm per day.

In addition to the "gear", they spend money on accessories that you can't find other areas. Accessories such as:

GPS, Sattelite Radio, 2 way radios such as CB and HAM, Intercom to chat with the passenger and of course Radar Detecters to look for Highway Patrols. For the real "hard corers", they even have some High Intensity Discharge lights to go with the set up.

About these bikes. Well they are taylored for both the twisties (mountain roads) and highways in excess to well over 140 miles an hour. Remember, you are not breaking the law unless you get caught.

Some of the terminlogy on these bikes, you have the rider (the one who pilots the bike) and the pillion, the passenger. These bikes tend to protect you from the elements such as Heat, Wind, and Rain. All the plastic you see around the engine is for those reasons and to take the heat "away" from the riders. The bags in the back are designed to carry a standard size helmet and gear for overnight trips to hotels or camping. You can buy a small trunk for additional storage for "her" if you know what I mean. :)

A combination of horsepowers ranging from the 90s all the way to the 150s makes these bikes ideal for long distance fun loving riding. They all come ABS and fuel injection standard.

Don't ask me how I know all this
