Hey General Dave.
I found this thread to be really nice, helpful and interesting.
I also passed through the same situation as u, but with girlfriend. We broke up some months ago, and then i realised that it was because of routine. We used to be attracted to each other so much, we stayed for 1 year together. We found out that there was no new stuffs in our relation, and we had made everything. In the end we didnt have anything to talk about with each other... there was no creativity, and the best way was to separate.
I think it all depends on love, the chemistry between the couple... if 2 love each other, there will hardly be separation/divorce, even if there is routine.

True love can defeat all kinds of routine. So as you said it all depends on love and the chemistry between the couple.
By the way,i didn't pass through this situation yet ,but, as i said before, we should always be ready for anything; that's why i've opened this thread in the first place. Moreover, this topic is very important to be discussed especially that we are all humans and we do all fall in the same mistakes...let us learn from the experiences of each others.

Life is a routine and monotonuos way we live its in our hand to create something new otherwise it will be boring waking up every day going to work coming back exhausted sitting behind tv then going to bed as the second day we have to go to work love too is the same in the relation of married or engaged or unmarried lovers when they found out that their lives getting boring both should break the routine by finding a way out...like travelling going on adventurous places discussing different things so their lives wont be a routine to lead and i dont think that routine will kill love but i think lack of communicating and keeping frustrations in hearts lead to breaking up...regards to all
