Yellow or Orange it is the same, in traffic lights of course.

The answer is very simple, there is no trick whatsoever here.

By the way, if you are presenting for your driver's licence, this is the answer that you must give in order to pass.

OK, you check your speed, what's in front of you and what's behind you... then you make a decision based on all three factors,

ie:

if you're going at a high speed and there's a car right behind you then you're advised to cross the signal

if you're going at a high speed and a safe distance with rear cars and you can stop safely, then you're advised to do so

if you're going at a slow speed then you're advised to stop in either case while making sure obviously to brake in a safe manner so no contact happens

all factors take into consideration other moving vehicles in front

OK these are all very reasonable and very logical answers but not the right one, so in order to move forward, let us take all 3 examples of Dry Ice, and the right answer here lies in the why you do what you do, more than what did you do!

1- you're not supposed to go at high speed
2- if you're at high speed and you have to stop, then the car behind you is supposed to stay at a safe distance behind you. If he hits you, it's 90% his fault, no matter how hard you had to hit the breaks!

You always have to stop! Safety is not a prerequisite, as you're supposed to be driving safely either way (speed limit, safe distance, etc.).

Same as for the previous "if": you're supposed to respect speed limit, hence there's no such thing as "slow" speed (there is if you're driving at 30 km/h on a main road or under 60 km/h on a highway), and it surely doesn't stand as a prerequisite for stopping!

You should always stop at the orange light, no matter what, unless stopping is impossible

Why? Because it's the rule and hence probably the safest way of driving. Also, speeding to catch the orange light is wrong as it's only a way to avoid the red light!

Boys and Girls we have a winner!!!!

You stop at the Orange/Yellow light because it is the law!!!!!! The law says you must stop!!!!

When will we learn in Lebanon and the other middle eastern countries that there is a law to follow in every aspect of our lives!

Ok it is the Rule

I didn't know that we always have to stop on Orange lights... nobody told us .... because we never had traffic lights in Lebanon till last year i think and not in all cities/villages ....and none was interested to enlighten us about the Rules...... Not even when you present for your driver's licence ... Noone asks you about the Traffic lights... 2anja2 kam 2icharet seyr.

You should know that in Lebanon the first answer that you must give to pass the Driver's licence exam is $$$ ... If they really care about the Rules , the majority of the Lebanese people should not pass the exam to begin with and the one they have it should be taken from them.

Don't worry faithful, this question was asked in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Amman, Cairo and Beirut and less than 1% got it right. So I am actually impressed here by the answers, but it had to be a Lebanese living outside Lebanon for long time that got it, typical no??

Anyway, now that we cleared the first question, I think it is very easy to answer the second one:

Do you wear your seatbelts while driving and why??

Of course... And also because it's the rule?

Or perhaps because if you don't you might get caught and get a fine?

I wore it in Lebanon even before it became an "enforced" rule. I wear it because it could save my life some day!
