Default Real story of a little girl!! - 1st November 2006

This is a true article that was printed in a southern newspaper less then a year ago

TAKE A DEEP BREATH BEFORE READING THIS

There was an atheist couple who had a child. The couple never told their daughter anything about the Lord.
One night, when the little girl was 5 years old, the parents fought with each other and the dad shot the Mom, right in front of the child. Then, the dad shot himself. The little girl watched it all. She then was sent to a foster home.
The foster mother was a Christian and took the child to church.
On the first day of Sunday School, the foster mother told the teacher that the girl had never heard of Jesus, and to have patience with her. The teacher held up a picture of Jesus and said, "Does anyone know who this is?"
The little girl said, "I do, that's the man who was holding me the night my parents died."

What an ordeal...& what a relief.
5 years old...same age as my boy Kakou, whenever I hear stories of such a nature, I visualize my kids.
God bless

well that's a toutching story but i cant find a reason for parents not to tell there child about Jesus...
for the questions we've all asked : where do we come from ? why we die? where we go when we die ? what's that sound ? (ring bells of church) etc.... so i find it really bizzare that those parents (if they where christians)not telling there child bout Jesus

This is what Jesus do everytime we are in trouble, he just hold us and protect us.
I did like the article, it's a message for all of us : he is always here

There must be millions of versions of Jesus pictures around the world. How did Jesus manage to plan it so that he would look like the picture the teacher would show this little girl?
There are more than one miracle in this story.

It says theyre atheists.

Why should they tell the child about jesus? Why doesnt everyone tell their children about Buddha or atheism or judaism or whatever?

How much freedom of thought is a child given when he is taught one way?

Anyway, story is nice and all, and im not doubting. But what are personal stories worth to other peoples beliefs?

Everyone from every religion or every belief has personal stories.
