In plain English you get married to please your family no more no less. The man becomes the breadmaker and the woman the dishwasher after a year they both become babysitters and after 18 years they get dumped by their kids and forgotten.

Marriage kills "le joie de vivre" in a way u become like an informant working with your lifetime Handler, you got a daily report to make about every activity u made and u are thinking about making and sometimes what you thought about and didn't do and in the worst cases about things u never even thought about but since your spouse is convinced u did "ye3ne lezem tkoun 3melta"...

Marriage is an ambition killer it bounds u locks u up and the end kills u from within. ye3ne if you got a goal in mind forget it after u get married especially for a career oriented woman.

Was I fair enough ? and another thing thank God I didn't give birth to a girl cause I prefer to shoot her before I see her walking the aisle with some idiot that will make her his free maid.

PS: The institution of marriage should be abolished so women can really proclaim their emancipation.

kudos Elyane.

easy on the baby girl though

Elyane, I never knew that Chicago could have this effect of people! Having lived there myself, I never witnessed any old-aged temple where newly-born girls are sacrificed so that their mothers feel happier and liberated!

By the way, I respect your different opinion when it comes to marriage!

I got boys lol Don't worry about the baby girl I decided long ago that my breeding days are over.
But u get a girl bring her up to be tough, I was brought up as one of the boys and lived the best life ever but I feel sorry for women who get enslaved and contrained into small roles forced upon them by their families who are terrified from their societies (ou3a ye7ko 3layna).

Ou3a ye7ko 3layna.. Here's the passcode.
Marriage is a society creation.
More people, much more people, marry due to society expectations than to conviction in wanting to commit to spend their lives together.

But I have to admit, marriage helps in preserving some moral values that are very easily decayed without it.

I feel a child has a better chance of adopting values of loyalty for instance if his parents are married than if they're not.

Let's not go too overboard here, we do after all live in a society with laws that we gain by respecting.. you can't altogether ignore what society as a whole has to say. It's just not, wise.

Is a married couple more likely to stay loyal to each other than a non married couple?

U think a piece of paper can guarranty loyalty? no my friend u don't need marriage to be loyal. you can love someone you are not married to halfway across the world and be loyal and marry someone and live with them and cheat right under their noses. loyalty is something you decide to do not to please ur partner but because you are convinced that this is what you want.
