so guys this is not a joke.....read the following about Bill Gates and lets discuss how fair is it to have such a fortune while others are dying and starving..and the dilemna comes when u see oppose the american dream and the morality of having such a fortune so what do u think

والقى غيتس خطابا، اول من امس، في اكبر تجمع الكتروني سنوي في الولايات المتحدة، اوضح فيه جهود شركته لتطوير الشراء والبيع والترفيه والتلفون والفيديو عن طريق الكومبيوتر. وقال ان شركته تعاقدت مع شركات مثل «نكولوديون» و«شوتايم» و«ستارز» لتوفير افلام تشاهد في الكومبيوتر، او تشاهد على شاشة تلفزيون عن طريق «اكس بوكس»، جهاز الالعاب الذي انتجته مايكروسوفت قبل سنتين

وقال غيتس ان شركته سوف تصدر، في نهاية هذا الشهر، «وندوز فيستا»، اول تطوير كبير في نظام «وندوز» منذ «وندوز اكس بي» الذي اصدرته سنة 2001. وان التطور الجديد سوف يوفر على شاشة الكومبيوتر، في نفس الوقت، معلومات وارقاما وشرائط فيديو لتسهيل مشاهدة برامج، مثل المنافسات الرياضية

وقال غيتس، ان الفرق بين الكومبيوتر والتلفزيون في طريقه للزوال، وان «كلمة كومبيوتر اصبحت تعني اشياء كثيرة، من شاشة طولها ست بوصات الى شاشة طولها 60 بوصة». وعرضت شركات اخرى في معرض لاس فيغاس اجهزة جديدة. من جهة اخرى اعلنت شركة تلفونات «فرايزون»، ان المشتركين في خدماتها سيستطيعون قريبا مشاهدة برامج تلفزيونية حية في تلفوناتهم الجوالة، وان هذه التلفونات تستطيع مخاطبة تلفزيونات «اف آي او اس» الرقمية التي طورتها مؤخرا الشركة نفسها، وذلك لتسجيل البرامج التلفزيونية، ومراقبة مشاهدة الاطفال للتلفزيون، ولادارة اجهزة الكترونية داخل البيت

وكانت شركة «كوالكوم» قد انتجت شبكة رقمية تربط بين التلفونات الجوالة والتلفزيونات، وتعمل على موجات لاسلكية غير التي تعمل عليها التلفونات الجوالة. واعلنت شركة «فرايزون» انها ستستفيد من هذه الشبكة الرقمية. وعرضت، في معرض لاس فيغاس، تلفونات جوالة جديدة فيها ازرار لمشاهدة التلفزيون من مسافة قريبة او من خارج المنزل

I recently saw an interview with Bill Gates, Melinda Gates & Warren Buffett (the 3 richest people in the world) they have combined their money to fight poverty and disease and they control the money - not the government, so there is less waste. The estimation is that in the last 5 years they have saved over 1.5 million peoples lives (mostly children). They pay for drug companies to produce drugs that are needed in 3rd world countries to cure deceases that are not known anymore in developed countries. The drug companies had stopped producing these drugs. They don't just give money away ... they enter an area and help all who live there, not just the children but also their families. The work is done by their own people and by humanitarian organizations.

Yes ....... they have more money than any one person should have ... BUT, they are doing good things for humanity with that money - and that's as it should be.

That is so funny and sad. One man has enough power to prevent millions from dying, and yet he doesn't. Throwing a couple of million dollars here and there are nothing compared to his potential.

Plus I don't find anything genius with monopoly. It's true I have the option of using operating systems other than DOS/Windows, but come to think of all the obstacles you have to overcome while using another interface.

1- Most softwares are done compatible to Windows only.

2- When the average person buys a computer, the company (any company) directly offers him a computer with Windows in it. I never heard a story of someone buying a Macintosh without intending to have a Macintosh beforehand.

Anyway the point is that no one deserves such a fortune, even for being a Messiah. And there are alot of people "outside the west" who deserve (e.g. a living) much more than what they get (e.g. bombs).
