i've just read it in the newspaper!!
From l'OLJ: "Signalons enfin que la municipalité de Beyrouth a décidé de donner le nom de Rafic Hariri à la place de l’Étoile"

yes thats better than naming the airport at least.. i'm glad they didnt change the airport name.. good they chose la place de l'etoile.

Enno "place de l'étoile" is better, even when u see the publicity on future tv, u rarely see the advestising of the airport. They show u the downtown in 1992 and now.
The guy changed that place and deserves his name to that place.

I agreed with ur suggestion bassam in the beginning of the thread, but naming the downtown after him is also something good, maybe not as good as ur suggestion.

Well, just read in al balad newspaper that they will take the suggestion to name the airport after Hariri to majlis el wouzara.......I totally disagree with this, alright the man did good, but " BOUWEBET LEBNEN" should stay "Beirut International Airport".
