i know many of you know what that is , also many of you don't
especially those who don't live here
so i thought we should open a thread to explain what is it and post some famous 3ateba lines , and maybe we can also invent some
actually i don't love poetry , but in 3ateba it's not about poetry , it's also a challenge and a language test , it's really smart

العتابا نوع من الزجل ...... و هو رباعية شعرية باللهجة العامية تتألف من أربع أشطر .
الأشطر الثلاثة الأولى تنتهي بنفس اللفظ و لكن يختلف معناها (يطلق على هذا الجناس في اللغة العربية) أما الشطر الأخير فينتهي بلفظة (اب) مثل عتاب ، شباب ، حباب، تراب .....الخ
لا شك أن قواعد الوزن في العتابا ليست بذات الصرامة الموجودة في الشعر العربي الفصيح، وذلك يعود إلى غياب قواعد اللفظ الثابتة في الكلام المحكي، وإلى اختلاف طريقة لفظ الكلمة الواحدة، فهناك من يمد الحركة فيحولها إلى حرف علة ساكن دون أن يسيء إلى لفظ الكلمة أو يعطيها معنى آخر، أمر من العسير فعله مع اللغة العربية الفصحى.
ye3neh you have to find 3 different meanings for the same word or try to twist the words a little to make the same word have 3 different meanings
here's an example
إغمِزيني بجاوبك بل(يسْ)بل(وي).........إرقصي بُرْ قص وإلوي الخصر بلوي
واذا قالوا هوى الحلوين بَلْوي...........إبعتولي الف بلوي عَالحساب
i have marked the words at the first 3 lines that are made to have different meaning in each line , the word is "belwi" or "balwi"
note that the word in the first line is "bel oui"
"oui" is the word in french that means "yes"
as for the same word in the second and third line i believe u can guess their meaning easily
