In the 21st Century...

Dear comrades,

I opened this thread so that we can use it to post funny stories that we thought don't happen anymore in the 21st century...

Here, I propose that we analyse these situations and see why are they happening and how, and whether they constitute a problem in our society...

To start, I would like to post a little story written in annahar newspaper today. It says:

لم يفلح الجن في جلب العريس


ادعت محاسن خ.ل. (22 عاما) انها تعرفت الى حمدي ح.د. (55 عاما) واوهمها انه عالم روحاني وان في استطاعته جلب النفع لها بواسطة السحر وطرد الجن التي تملكت جسدها منذ عشرة اعوام، وبالتالي السعي الى ارسال عريس ثري لها. وصدقته وطلب منها الاستمرار في المجيء الى منزله في محلة الاوزاعي للمباشرة في علاجها وطرد الشياطين والجن من جسدها.

وكانت تحضر جلسات مناجاة الجن والشياطين وسط ضباب كثيف في الغرفة من دخان البخور المتصاعد مع روائح المسك والعنبر. ثم يعمد حمدي الى مزاولة التنويم المغناطيسي عليها فتغيب عن الوعي عشر دقائق، ولما تفيق من غيبوبتها تجد نفسها احيانا شبه عارية واخرى عارية تماما، ويوهمها حمدي عندما تستفسر منه عن هذه الظاهرة ان الجن والشياطين التي بدأت بالهرب من جسدها تجردها من ثيابها، الى ان راح يداعبها ويدعوها للتعري امامه استكمالا للعلاج. ثم قام بالتعري امامها حتى ينضج السحر وتتحقق احلامها، وكان يبتز اموالها واستولى منها بالاحتيال على 12 الف دولار اميركي، واخيرا قام بتنويمها مغناطيسيا واعتدى عليها وفض بكارتها.

واحال المدعي العام في جبل لبنان جوزف خليل ملف القضية على رجال الامن لمطاردة المتهم واعتقاله.

(1) How could that woman be that dumb ?
(2) How did the man have access to know how to hypnotise (which is not an easy task)
(3) Should hypnotising be taught to anybody ? Is it really that easy to practice ?
(4) How should the man be sanctionned ? is he really responsible ? and why ?
(5) Having 12.000 $ to be stolen, the girl should be a somehow wealthy one, which means that she should have some kind of higher education. How could this happen ?
(6) What's the solution and how to deal with non-intelligent humans in laws ? How to protect their rights ?
(7) etc...

This woman is really the most idiot women on earth.
How could she believe such thing?
Having sex with her means getting out the devil from her body?
The evil is located in her blank mind.
The man is not hypnotising anyone, the woman is stupid.
Hypnotising is a big lie. It is not a think that can be practised.
The woman was sleeping due the the smell of the "Bakhour"
And about the law, i think that the law do not help idiots

Well she must have been so depressed and living it to be so dumb.

Having 12.000 $ to be stolen, the girl should be a somehow wealthy one, which means that she should have some kind of higher education. How could this happen ?

I think the story of the hypnosis is untrue and it was said by the woman in the testimony inorder to cover for her complete idiotic behaviour.

Well IF and only IF the woman's story is true, and that he offered to help her get rid of the ghosts then yes he should be sanctionned because he is practising fraud in this case. Yes she is stupid for falling for it, but he also should be taken to court for committing fraud.

il se peut que cet homme soit sorcier ou charlatan "de pere en fils"! il est né pr truquer les gens! ce qui explique sa pratique de l'hypnose (ki est une technique, donc + ou - kikonke peut l'apprendre), je crois ke les 12.000$ varient entre bijoux et monnaie!
le prob reel a mon avis est ke cette jeune fille de 22 ans a ete consideree par son entourage comme une vieille-fille par rapport aux autres, donc elle a ete facilement convaincue d'etre possedee, d'ou le role de ce jeune homme, et bien sur, il ne va pas lui promettre qq de pauvre, mais un type tres riche!
quant a l'education, elle est parfois insuffisante meme inutile avec l'absence de la culture!

I'm sorry guys but I don't find this story neither funny nor amusing.
this woman has been abused sexually and mentality by a pervert! At least I would except people to give her the benifit of the doubt...
Do you know the number of persons that are members of sects throughout the world and that are willingly manipulated to be submissive, suffer silently sexual abuse and even commit suicide? does "Order of the Solar Temple " or "Aoum" ring a bell? just to mention a few examples...
These people are not necessary simple minded or stupid or liars, they were in difficult and desperate situation and got abused.

As for question 4, it is quite disappointing... it is not because she was irresponsible, weak, hell even idiot that she should NOT be considered a victim. It is only in lebanon or maybe oriental societies that we say "law doesn't protect idiots"! Review all the judicial cases in democratic countries and see how gourous were judged and imprisoned for the manipulation of their victims whether taking money or sexually abusing or just luring them in the sects..

Money doesn't buy education (not just a stupid diploma that we hung on teh wall but Culture/intelligence) .. and education doesn't necessary induce commun sense... how many "educated" lebanese believe in reading in coffee cups? or tried at least one fortune teller? even in europe the medium business is quite profitable.
Plus just look a few kms to the north west, we have very rich people over there that knows nothing and have below zero education level..
