No that was a Kabyle vs Arab thing.

totally unjustifiable, totally unsportsman-like. Materazzi may be the worst human being on the planet, it doesn't matter, he didn't do anything wrong in this particular game. For those who think he shouldn't be allowed to play for his past behaviour, blame FIFA for not doing anything about it.

Trash talk is part of the game, like it's part of any other team sport. It doesn't matter what Materazzi said, whether its racist or about Zidane's mom or anything else, nothing warrants such a reaction. I felt bad for Zidane because he's not that kind of player and he's done so much for French football.

The french did not deserve to win this game, from Malouda's shameless dive to Zidane's aggression.

Ya haruun,

If everyone reacts to provocation, then it'll be a big mess. We, lebanese, should now know that more than anyone. Let's not mix politics and sports anyways....

Hahaha... They did things slide in the pass which made the French players to go public about it!! FIFA is not handling the racism slogans good ! So, don;t be surprised if they let this go unpunished again!! But then I donot think this was anything to do racism!!

Please stop acting like your all angels, especially us Lebanese, the professionals of racist and discriminatory behavior. Go look at our sporting events, we have people threatening to kill each other, teams are basically sectarian clubs and now were trying to prescribe good behavior in sports? Look at our own people first.

P.S. I don’t endorse his behavior but let’s not be hypocrites.
Ya man, why mix things together brother!

It’s real easy to sit outside and criticize but nobody, including myself, really understands the passion behind this particular game, and the tension was unbearable. Obviously the Italian dude said something to really **** him off and considering Zidane’s classy reputation something really harsh must have been said, let’s just wait and see.

Haruun,

With all due and respect.

First, I never said that Zizou's response was due to a racist act...

I just speculated something of that nature, since common sense will tell us that he said something very personal and insulting.

Second, this is the World Cup final game...so I think many of us has a reaction as into what happened...

If Lebanon was in it, we will criticise Lebanon as well...

But it's the World Cup...

The games there are more important then that of Nejmeh...

That is the major difference.

I may have gotten the Totti celebration part wrong, but we are not idiots.

He can give any reason he wants, people will always see it in another way.

As for the scandals, I mentioned about most major clubs.

No, the Italian federation paid lots of money in order to get where they are.

Their Football was cheap, and they won this World Cup in a cheap fashion.

Everything was cheap and it was a horrible WC.

Bro,

Trust me when I tell you that many people, deep down inside, where happy by Zizou's hit towards Materazzi.

It's just that Zidane chose the wrong moment and completely ignored his teammates' dreams.

Materazzi sent many players to the hospital...

He is an agressive person with no Football qualities.

Italy won in a cheap fashion.

Anyways, I am not surprised Zidane ended this way...

He is an Arab, and no Arab has a fairy tale story in their life.

Arabs have a rough life filled with nightmares, and the one for Zizou was no different.

Hope all is well,

Ali Arz
