Default NFL 2009-2010 season - 29th August 2009

We're in the 3rd pre-season week now! This season looks promising:

Concerning this season's AFC teams:

The Steelers will compete with the Ravens for the AFC North title and, as usual, the Browns and Bengals with compete for the 3rd spot The Ravens changed their Defensive coordinator, Mattison took this job and the former Ravens DC, Rex Ryan, is now the Jets Head Coach. Indianapolis Colts is a totally new team, I don't think they're gonna have the same success of last seasons. Tom Brady, the current best QB is back with the Patriots and I think he's gonna take them the Super Bowl once again. Tennessee is also a good team. Overall, I think one of these teams will go to the Super Bowl.

Regarding the NFC, Michael Vick signed with the Eagles, but McNabb got a contract extension. The NY Giants, the Eagles, the Cardinals and the Falcons are the best NFC teams out there. The Saints look better too.

The regular season starts on September 10, with the Titans visiting Pittsburgh.

My prediction that the Detroit Lions will improve 200% over last year record thus I predict the lions will win two games in the coming NFL season. Bold prediction, ain't it?

Euwwww! I'd rather live in Saudi Arabia than see the Ravens winning a game and you know how much I hate Saudi Arabia and anything remotely related to Saudi Arabia!

Anyway, good defense doesn't get you anywhere. Look at the 'skins in 2004-2005. they had the best defense and went nowhere.

The toughest division is the NFC East with at least 3 excellent teams in it: NY Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. Our hometeam as usual will be mediocre and if it wasn't such a cashcow for Snyder he would have dropped them years ago. While other teams are struggling to sell seats, Washington has an 8 year waiting list for season tickets, even though they haven't done anything exciting the last 10 years I've been in DC. We can keep changing the coach and it won't make a difference. Spurrier wasn't a saviour. Not even Joe Gibbs managed to create a dent in this mediocre team.

Campbell is on his last year of his contract. If it was up to me, I'd give him three games to prove he's worth keeping. If he doesn't deliver, Zorn should bench him, and invest in a young talent, because let's face it: 2008 - 2009 is already dead.

So I'll go back to my New Jersey roots and root for my childhood team: the NY GIANTS!

Ahh.. a NYG fan!
I know the 2000 Super Bowl loss was hard to swallow I hope we'll have a repeat this season!

The NFC East is a tough division. The Giants and the Eagles are good teams but I don't see the Cowboys in there. Romo is way overrated!

Finally Lions got their first wn after 18 games losing streak. Their winning was no less than your backyard team.
Raven seems to be doing great job this season, especially last week game with chargers, Lewis was unfair to the running back of chargers, I mean the guy did not know what had hit him:).
Today, all i can say to Browns fans OUCH, 31 pts in turn over!

That was ugly! I tried to be a 'skins fan, but seriously, it shows what a lousy team we have here in DC if they can't even beat the Detroit Lions, who haven't won a game since 2007, and were on a 19-game losing streak (not 8 games as you said sarhay!).

I loved the Washington Post's headline today: Washington gives Detroit another stimulus package.

If the Failskins have any chance to regain their past glory, it will only happen once they get rid of Dan Snyder...

Loved Favre's performance for the Vickings in their recent week 3 win over the 49'ers.

Was hopin to see more time for Vick on the field when the Eagles played too... Anyways knows why he only played this short amount of time? (he used to be my favorite player.... hope he gets back on track soon)

Thank GOD for the Rams, the chiefs, and the raiders, or else the Browns will feel lonely. Even the Lions have their first win of the season... another disastrous season in Cleveland
