portugese ronaldo and robinho are not rumors...kaka and brazilian ronaldo are unconfirmed although highly likely
in any case, these are some of my favorite players hailing from my favorite footbaling nations..... but...
i find it absolutely ridiculous how some clubs are administered.
the 90s was enough for us to realize how out of hand things can get when a club is given:
a] money
and
b] the freedom of getting as many foreign players as they want [the bosman ruling]
their aims?
-prestige
-player whoring
we saw how the 90s and honestly, much of the early 2000s saw clubs not able to function because players dont get along either socially or by playing style or both!
many madrid seasons barcelona seasons milan and inter seasons were plagued by this.
it seems mosts clubs have learned to listen to managers on this issue but it still happens.
its almost no surprise when a club gets injected by this miraculous source of money that this would happen.
my opinion would be caution. you have the money, use it, fine. get 2 or 3 top foreign players, not more. build a good local english base of first team players and inject a **** load of money into the club's football academy for youth.
i hope they dont blow all their money in one year...have negative results and pull out thinking they did all they could. you have the money, build slowly, and create a base that would give you a decade of top class consistency
