FIBA Asia Championship for Men Tianjin City (CHN) 6 Aug. 2009 - 16 Aug. 2009

Groupe A: Korea, Japan, Philippines, Sirlanka.
Groupe B: Iran, Chinese Taipei, Kuwait, Uzbekistan.
Groupe C: Kazakhstan, Quatar, India, China.
Groupe D: Lebanon, Jordon, Indonesia, UAE.

The top three teams from each group will advance to the second round of the championship.
Group E: A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3

Each team will play the three (3) new teams in its own group (the final scores of all games played in the Preliminary Round are valid for this round).
The top four from each group will advance to the knockout quarterfinal stage

Our groupe is easy so i guess we should advance to the second round with no problems!! In the second round we will be with China in the same Groupe and nshalla we will kick China's A$$ :D

Those are good signals, above all the last match against Zeleznik, hoping they didn't play with their Team B.

I did a small research about the height of each new "Lebanese" player. That's pretty good, 3 of them are above 2.00 m. During international matches, we need players with great height to impose our presence in the games.

Matt Freije: 2,08 m
Daniel Faris: 2,05 m
Ali Kanaan: 2,05 m
Antwain Barbour (option): 1,96 m
Omar Krayem: 1,83 m

about the game against Zeleznik:
According to NT sources the game vs FMP was simply great.. That team that already has an adriatic league under its belt, had players with 220,213,215,210,205cm including one on the NBA draft
So i don't that they played with the B team!

In my opinion we still need a player who plays pure 5!!! Jackson vroman plays at position 4 and his height is 2,08 also!!!
the Good thing is that Matt can play at position 3 ,so we can play with vroman, fares and Freije all of them on the court in addition to fady el khatib and a PG in that way we can cover the absence of a real center
PS: I think that Fares is also 2,08 m (but not sure:) )
