Default Juniors Basketball NT in the world championship: Mission Impossible? - 27th February 2007

Group A: Brazil, France, Lebanon and Lithuania

Lebanon will be in Group A together with the European Champion France, the second in Europe Lithuania and Brazil.

Lebanon's first game will be on July 12th with Brazil; this game will be a very decisive one knowing that the Lebanese U19 Head Coach is the Brazilian Adriano Geraldes who knows the Brazilian program very well and coached the Brazilian U18 National Teams in different championships.

The second game will be against Lithuania the finalist of last year European U18 Championship who's head coach is who coached in Lebanon Ghazir Club in 2001.

Lebanon's last game in the first round will be against France the Champion of Europe on July 14th, 2007.

The first 3 teams in each group will qualify to the second round the remaining teams will play classification games.

The groups are as follows:
Group A: Brazil, France, Lebanon and Lithuania
Group B: P.R. of China, Mali, Serbia and USA
Group C: Australia, Canada, Nigeria and Turkey
Group D: Argentina, Korea, Puerto Rico and Spain

I do not want to look pessimistic, but it looks real hard to win any of the games…
We did it once against France last summer; hopefully we will secure an unexpected win against one of the teams in our group. Cross fingers!

Surely,it's not easy to win over those team but we can play a nice basketball like lebanese NT for men in last fiba world championship and we have a lot of a good player like rodrigue akl and the best player arabic miguel martinez and other. The Lebanese Basketball Federation signed Coach Adriano Geraldes as a Head Coach to take over the U19 and the U17 Lebanese Men National Teams. I wish a best performance to lebanon and good luck for them.

does anyone knows if their will be any preparation camp and games for the TEAM
does the federation have the budget to finance the jNT or it'll be a freestyle preparation ?

if they want to dream of making any good results they should prepare very well and have some friendly games with big European teams

it's true we already did "un exploit" against france in the WC but believe me the french learned the lesson and they want their small revenge cause it was like a humiliation for them
( i was the king of the world for one week after our win against france )
yalla hope we'll repeat this achievement

does any one know the roster of the team cause i think some of the players who played in asia are no more under 18 so who is going to replace them ??
