If Ibra moves to Chelsea then RIP Inter. Although I am a hardcore Juve fan, Ibra is my fav striker ever. It took me some time to adapt to the fact that he left Juve when they were relegated, but I don't think I'll adjust with the possibility of him leaving the Serie A. He is a show on his own.

Tevez joins Man City, criticises Ferguson

Tuesday, July 14 08:07 pm
Chris Brereton

Argentina striker Carlos Tevez signed for Manchester City on Tuesday and used his first news conference at the big-spending Premier League club to criticise Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson. Skip related content

The 25-year-old, who spent two years at Old Trafford under a lease agreement, said Ferguson had not done enough to persuade him to stay at the champions.

City paid a reported 25.5 million pounds for Tevez whose "economic rights" were owned by agent Kia Joorabchian.

"Alex never called me or sent me any text messages," Tevez, who signed a five-year contract, said. "The only time he spoke to me was after the match against Roma because we had to discuss me playing for Argentina.

"I don't think that is the way to treat a player who has been two years at the club."

Ferguson said on Monday that he had personally tried to contact Tevez in January about extending his stay at United but that the striker had ignored his calls.

Tevez was the third major pre-season signing for City who are owned by Abu Dhabi billionaire Sheikh Mansour after midfielder Gareth Barry and striker Roque Santa Cruz.

City manager Mark Hughes confirmed that the club had also opened talks with Arsenal about buying Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

"There's been contact and there is a deal to be done possibly but it's not been concluded as we speak here," Hughes said.

GOOD PROPOSAL

Tevez was a firm favourite at Old Trafford, scoring 34 goals in 98 appearances but often had to make do with a place on the bench. He was among the substitutes for the Champions League final defeat by Barcelona in May.

He said City's potential was a major factor in him moving across the city.

"Both the technical department and the ownership came with a very good proposal for me and this showed that they have the ambition to become one of the biggest clubs in the world," he said.

"Money was not a factor for me."

With Paraguay international Santa Cruz and possibly Adebayor in the squad next season, Tevez may have to fight for his place.

"In every team you have to win the respect of your team mates and sweat the shirt," he said. "I would not be happy if I was assured a first-team place."

City have been linked with Chelsea captain John Terry but Hughes would not be drawn on the speculation surrounding the England defender.

"I have fantastic respect for John Terry, as a great player and as an outstanding captain. But he is a Chelsea player at this moment in time so we have to respect that," he said.

We need someone to bring us the CL, and Ibra isn't the man for that.
Look at his games in the calcio, he's just superb.

He probably means that Ibra excells in Serie A, but fails in CL.

I doubt he's moving to Chelsea, but anything is possible.

Chelsea are asking vucinic for 20 million pound it seems. If this offer is presented by chelsea, I think roma will accept it.
Its very tough to be roma fan this summer. There is simply no name we are being linked with. Simply no name. No money.

Our only signing is stefano guberti , free transfer from serie b

Football: Inter plan Ibrahimovic swap for Eto'o

(CNN) -- Inter Milan are offering their star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a swap deal with Barcelona which would see Samuel Eto'o move in the other direction.

Ibrahimovic could be headed for European champions Barcelona in a swap deal.

Club president Massimo Moratti met his Barca counterpart Juan Laporta on Thursday night and told his side's official Web site that the switch had been the discussed.

Moratti said they had met to complete the transfer of Brazilian defender Maxwell to the Bernabeu from Inter.

He said he also hoped to conclude a deal which would see Barcelona midfielder Aleksandr Hleb go the the San Siro, reportedly on loan for the season.

But it was the comments about a Ibrahimovic-Eto'o switch which captured the headlines in sports papers in Italy and Spain.

"This meeting was something between two presidents to understand if there are other possibilities to work together," Moratti was quoted.

The arrival of Swedish international Ibrahimovic would be the first high profile capture of the summer transfer window by European champions Barcelona.

While their arch-rivals Real Madrid have spent $300 million on the likes of Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo, Barca have kept their powder dry with the acquisition of Maxwell their only confirmed deal.

"We obviously talked about other things because for them it was interesting to know something about Ibrahimovic," Moratti said.

"We also spoke about Eto'o to understand if it's possible to do a deal with these two players,"

"If an operation of this kind was carried out, it would regard both players," he added.

Cameroon international Eto'o scored 34 goals for Barcelona last season in their treble triumph, but his contract runs out at the end of next season, meaning he could leave on a free transfer.

Ibrahimovic has been an integral part of Inter's three straight Serie A titles and led the Italian scoring charts with 25 league goals last season.

The Inter fans hated Ibra. During the last matches of the Serie A, when IBrahimovic used to score, he rushed to the Inter fans in the satdium and put his finger on his mouth telling them to shut up while they booed at him. What do you expect from a player from his caliber to do in this situation?

Inter fans are more than stupid and so is the Inter management. Now the Calcio will never be like it used to be.
