"PRESIDENT COME BACK"
These were the words of basketball and football Sagesse players who were united this past Saturday in a way to convince President Antoine Choueiry to re-consider quiting basketball and come back to hold the helm of their team. The team that achieved a part of his goals by winning the Lebanese championship 8 times and the Lebanese cup 6 times, and made every Lebanese proud by capturing the Arab championship 2 times, the Asian championship 3 times and by representing Lebanon in the McDonalds tournament in Italy.
So what we're going to do here is to have a little vote for ourselves to find out what's the percentage of the population that wants President Choueiry back, and vice versa.
But still, there's one thing to remember. If you vote "yes", you are voting for the Lebanese basketball, the game that succeeded in Arabic, Asian and even world championships when our national team reached this level for the first time, you are voting for the Lebanese players, you are voting for the Lebanese clubs. You can be a Ryadi fan, a Champville fan, an Antranik fan (etc…) and vote for Choueiry to come back, and also you can be a Sagesse fan and vote against President Choueiry because this vote is not personal or for one person, this vote is for the love of basketball………… |
