hehe,

Dude, whether the constructor holds #1 or #0 he will be eligible for the 1st pit thus taking advantage of the sum you are talking about.

+ it is very beneficial for renault to have their driver grabbing the title and to add it to their records and history.

+ the constructors championship competition is still at peak and Renault needs every single point from alonso and his mate

+ if Alonso wins, this will give Renault better opportunities to be financed by new sponsors next year since his win is partially due to the performance of his car so if his car fails then the manufacturer looses sponsors trust

Do you see now, how much a team loses money and speed, if the WDC leaves?

Renault is at least half a second slower than Mclaren, while last year it was the other way around.

All is due to losing a WDC, the technical experience he brought to Mclaren was lacking back when Kimi was #1.

And the most important thing, a lot of money was poured when Alonso joined Mclaren, whether from ads, commercials, or sponsors.

Alonso is in a bad position, he knows Mclaren will be the strongest next year he doesn't want to be in a weak team, whether BMW or Renault
