Default Is the arab world cheaters in sport? - 10th September 2009

this is impo question. Jaycee Okwunwanne - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
bahriani national team have a naturalized player. a player who had ratio of one goal per game in bahraini league. a player whose now playing his game in belgium.
now qatar naturalizes alot, jordan and lebanon do.. and now its bahrain. ARAB WORLD DONT PRODUCE PLAYERS, THEY JUST USE OIL MONEY.
BUY PLAYER, NEVER DEVELOP. THIS is why arabs are [], and never wise.they should be banned from sports.

Bahrain and Qatar must be the most awful. I mean At least those players you mentioned have moved to the country and played in it so that they are eligible, just like me moving now to a country and becoming part of it and closer to it, in the end it will be helping me improve and so I owe part of me to that country, but Bahrain for instance in the IAAF, just calls athletes from Kenya pays them huge amounts and they accept because they get money and they get a chance to qualify to important championships because it is hard to do that in their country because of the competition. Look at Bahrain medals in the IAAF championship that happened in Germany a month or so ago, and go check their names in Wikipedia and see how they moved to Bahrain.
But Lebanon is still fairly better. Vogel for instance, you can call him a Lebanese or at least half-lebanese. Lebanon's case is still close to what all countries in the world do. But some Arabs especially Bahrain and Qatar are just "oiling money".

Huge differences my friend.

First, those like camoranesi play for free for italy..not like the ones in arab world.
second, those like camoranesi for example developed their game in italy.. they made their game in italy.. and its italy who educated mauro camoranesi to become better footballer..
unlike the ones in arab world, whom players come developed.. and are superior to other players in their respective NT's..

Dude

it shows how much you know about french football and the french society...

most of those players were born and raised in france. Zinedine Zidane, and Samir Nasri were born and raised in Marseille. Youri Djorkaeff's father Jean Djorkaeff used to play for the french national team in the 50's.
None of them got the french nationality because of their football ability. It was the other way around, they had the french nationality and it happens that they had the footballing ability to go along.

France didnt go out and naturalize gerald asamoah or deco for the sake of the national team. David Trezeguet has Argentinian roots but was raised in France and hence chose to play for the french national team. Gonzalo Higuain on the other hand was born in france to french parents but was raised in Argentina, hence he chose to play for the Argentinian national team instead.

France didnt go out and naturalize players just because they needed talent at certain positions on their team.

I wouldn't call them cheaters since there are no laws against their naturalization strategies I suppose but I'd say they're phonies, big fat phonies!

When it comes to football, it is true that most countries naturalize! The Arab countries do a lot, that's true, but in Europe, they do too!

However, as someone said, in Europe, most naturalized players are naturalized after having played many years in his adoptive country. The naturalization processes are fair and democratic. In other words, football players get through the same administrative and legal processes as regular citizens!

On the other hand, in the Arab world, professional players are advantaged! Some get the nationality in a matter of weeks without even trying! And it is not just about football, but also athletics, handball and other sports! There were cases where the IAAF (Intl. Athletics Federation) had to intervene and prevent Arab-naturalized athletes from participating under their adoptive country's flag!

PS: France doesn't "naturalize" players. Most ethnic foreigners are either from the French DOMTOM, or had the nationality before playing football. Some have mentioned players like Zidane. However, Zidane was born, raised, and formed in France! There are perhaps exceptions, but no one can compare the naturalized players in (most of) Europe and those in the Arab world!
