According to which criteria do you consider those candidates to be great? Is it in reguard to Lebanon? Themselves? Some other common lebanese achievement which has benefited many?
To me Great Lebanese is every poor or wealthy enduring decent soul who still lives on this troubled land, is still able to bear a genuin smile on his/her lips, would still share what he/she has with someone in need, who did not lose hope and still work for a better day tomorrow.. Simply every lebanese whose decent existence or death on Lebanese land is ensuring this lands continuous existence..
All others may be enjoyable and marginally interesting tales from a sealed past, or currently yet to be written ditto... With the exception of
Fairouz of course which is the greatest of them all
